There is a spot on the Petit Jean River when I was a kid visiting my grandparents, I would catch crayfish/crawfish at, that when the river was down, looks just exactly like this.

We used to catch crawdads in the San Diego river when I was a kid for bass bait/dinner. Didn't look anything like this though!

I know little about photography but while I was out looking for Haley’s Comet I took pictures of Chaco Canyon in NM with a full moon for light by opening the lenses drinking a beer and closing

They came out somewhat grainy but are very spooky

As a kid I caught crawfish in the Connoquenessing Creek using bacon for bait

Years later it was listed as the most polluted stream in the US

When we were kids we would just wade slowly through the creeks, turnover rocks slowly, and then snatch them up, and then throw them in a bucket. As we got older we built small cages/traps with chicken scraps as bait.

Just a heads up. A little tonight, but definitely tomorrow (Sunday) night, there's a good chance of seeing the aurora if you live in the north. The forecast is the best I've seen since last October. This website is usually on the conservative side of predictions. My pics last fall were from a similar forecast:

It means you might not be able to see it with the naked eye, but a long exposure camera would pick it up.

Well, it looks like it's a bust. The CME got to us a lot earlier than expected (early Sunday morning). And now, it's fizzled out.

    Oh well, maybe next time.
