Not to mention being alive where you live!

I just read one in the Pgh Tribune in an article celebrating 50 yrs of Bill Hillgrove as an announcer. He was reflecting back and said back when he first started "The Dead Sea wasn't even sick". I thought of us elders. :lolol:

He is tripping. I seen the same thing one night after a rain storm. I was going down a highway around the area with a cousin of mine, and all of a sudden I passed a guy walking naked down the side of the highway. I stopped, and looked at My cousin....I said did You see that....LoL....so I kicked on the spot light ....thinkingthis guy is in trouble, or hurt, and turned around....as soon as I did He jumped the fence ,and took off across the field. I was like ......Well I guess He doesn't need our help. LoL, and I drove away. That naked guy was spotted 5-7 times on that same highway within that year by different people.

    Great Place. Beautiful.
Just remember driving inside the walls of Siena has some restrictions. We all know about your tickets in Pa. LOL

That prime 1.8 is such a fun lens. I had the old model and bought the new STM version, which just doesn't feel the same. Something is different about the boca.

I've tried the 1.4 as well and that one is tack sharp.

Wonderful capture Santee. The white Lincoln in the parking lot is classic. Been there may a time cruising 66 and photographing desert storms and mile long freight trains. Turn 90 degrees right and you have an amazing view of the Amboy Crater that resembles a horizontal Imhotep from a distance down I 40. About 15-20 years ago this entire town was acquired by the owner of the SoCal Juan Pollo chain. Much better than Pollo Loco IMHO. Roy's is featured in numerous movies and music videos. :thumbs up:

Been past here many times myself but, this time, my son and I went specifically to shoot route 66. Someone made a totem out of roadside garbage across the road from Roy's that's pretty cool. My son was on a schedule so, we only made it as far as Flagstaff. I had to explain to him about the Burma Shave signs we saw east of Seligman.....

That's hilarious and awesome. Love traveling the remaining sections of 66 whenever I can. The bottle ranch between Victorville and Barstow is pretty cool. Looks like the highway is closed traveling east out of Amboy - those short old wooden bridges wash out regularly. I bypass the closures across the adjacent desert. Nobody around.

They had the road closed east of Amboy. Had to go back and connect back up with 40.
I'm shooting for mid May to be in your neighborhood. Trout opener is April 27th. I thought I'd give it a couple weeks to die down.
