Any Penn State fans here?

I'm trying to learn about the PSU defensive lineman we signed as an UDFA, Parker Cothren.

This year's Penn State vs. Iowa game is on ESPN U right now and he has looked really good so far.

Anyone have any info or insights?

 

Has the athleticism, length and strength you want in an NFL Defensive Lineman but is in serious need of technical and leverage coaching.


Outside of that though, he is a fit for our "Eagle" scheme where are Defensive Lineman are attacking as opposed to maintaing the point of attack like they used to.



Could challenge the likes of Walton assuming he has one heck of a camp; preseason the same soon thereafter.

 

Thanks! He seems to be playing a lot of 3-tech in this Iowa game. I wonder if they see him as a nose?
