I am sure Coach is working the analytical data and scheming up the Steelers defense.

Tomlin will stress they need to stop the run...against one of the best offensive lines and Jonathan Taylor.

Yeah. Right. I doubt we stop the run and on top of it get completely abused by Daniel Jones in the passing game. We need a couple more red lines playing on defense.

Taylor has not been getting touched much until he's into the second level of the defense this year. That Colt's OL is very good and very physical. I don't know if we can out-physical them. Stopping that run game is the key, or at least limiting it. Make Jones have to throw and maybe our pass rush gets home more this week. Have to win the TO battle, cannot lose it for sure.

This is where I stopped reading the thread about 10 post in.
80% of the people don't even know what we are actually doing from play to play, but they know its wrong, and their Idea of discussing it is.....they are stupid, our coaching sucks, the players suck, the owner sucks. Why because they actually don't know what they are looking at outside of stats they can look up.
We are playing way too much man this year, and blitzing too much. Why???
I can't tell You that, but that's what is actually happening. Almost every big play we have given up this year is either on a blitz, on man coverage, or on both together, and I can't figure out why we are doing it.
For the people that don't understand what they are watching.....because the coaches are stupid, and should be fired...... for the people that do understand what they are seeing.....why are we changing so dramatically???
This is another monkey wrench in the ......We always do the same things, and never change people, and it's hurting us.

Agreed. Focus on stopping Taylor and Warren. Attack Jones. He may be playing well, but he doesn't make quick decisions like Flacco and Love. Use that. Of course, that would require the front seven to start making plays again, which they haven't done much the last two weeks.

A few things come to mind..

First and foremost, we have to control the LOS, meaning our biggest and strongest D-linemen need to see the field ... that starts with Tomlin needing to stop sitting on Yahya Black and get him out there...

2nd, has to be an immediate switch of Jaylen Ramsey from CB to FS... he's no longer the shutdown corner he used to be, but he still has the football IQ to diagnose routes... Juan Thornhill shifts to SS and covers the over the middle routes by receivers and TE'S....
Patrick Queen covers the gaps on running plays and becomes a free blitzer through said gaps on passing plays, while Peyton Wilson covers the short routes..... meanwhile Watt, Highsmith, and Herbig's only duty is Danny dimes.... Joey Porter plays press man, while Slay plays the Dick Lebeau 5yds off special... this should slow the QB's reads long enough for the pass rush to get home.....

Something very fishy about this game if you are believing Vegas. Indy only a 3 pt favorite?? Has anyone in Vegas actually watched the Steelers play the last few weeks?

The over/under currently at a whopping 50.5 pts. A close game with each scoring 25+ pts??

So what you’re saying is that our coaches are stupid and should be fired, not for being too predictable, but for blitzing and playing man coverage too much (and you can’t figure out why)? Did I summarize that right?

Thornhill is not a box safety. The last thing they need to do against Taylor is play a free safety out of position in place of Elliott. Ramsey should be a slot/third safety. He should not be playing outside at all, but he is a better option there than Echols, who is horrible against the run.

I can't believe that line either. Most people will be surprised if the Steelers come within 10 points. I would definitely stay away from betting this game, it seems just way too easy to take the Colts.

The Colts might score 71 points on this slow defense though.

I could buy the over/under. Indy jumps out to big leads (avg 4th qtr margin is 17+ pts) and could coast, allowing some Rodgers heroics just to make it interesting. But the spread is plain nonsense.
