Along with the steelers my other passion is cars. I'm really into fast domestic street cars, late model and old school muscle cars. I'm a mustang guy and my toy is a 2003 mustang cobra. It's factory supercharged, runs high elevens and gets 20 mpg. So lets hear about some of the other folks with this same addiction. I'll try to get some pics posted up of mine.

    I've restored a 1967 Olds 442. 400 CID, 4 bbl, 2 exhaust ( for those who don't know what the #s stand for) 350 HP TH400 trans. ><9mpg.
There was a guy on the other board who called himself CrimsonCuda. I'm assuming it was because he had a red 'Cuda(?) but I don't know that to be a fact.

    Hell YES!!!!!!!

Sitting in my garage, 69 SS 396 Chevelle, 79 Chevy Pick Up "Big 10" 2wd , behind the garage in the driveway is my 2000 Z28 Camaro

My dad has a 67 RS Camaro, 57 Chevy convt, 57 Chevy Hardtop, 66 Corvette coupe and moms toy is a 99 Corvette.

In 2005 I bought a 68 Camaro that was gold with black side stripe and black vinyl top, Steeler colors!!! I sold it in 2008 to finance some house remodeling.

I am also an autobody repair tech by trade.

Repair tech eh? You'll appreciate the fact that the only original sheet metal on my car is the firewall, roof and doors. everything else has been replaced including the frame. The guys that did the welding, body work and paint did an amazing job but I'd never do it again!

Nice rides folks, keep em coming. I'm going to bolt on an aftermarket blower to my cobra and shoot for mid tens and be done with it for a while. Then I will be on the hunt for an 86-87 buick grand national to play with, those cars look so sinister.

Man, you and I would get along. My two loves in life are the Steelers and cars... specifically Ford's & Shelby's, old & new. Right now I've got a 96 Cobra Vert and an 07 Shelby GT (your termy would kill both of them lol). I'll try and get some pictures up of mine as well.

Those Grand Nationals were a good looking car. Especially in the mid-80s when almost every car was identical but, I'm an Olds guy and just couldn't bring myself to ever have a Buick or Pontiac. One of these days I'll sell my '67 and get what I wanted in the 1st place, a '70 442 W30.

Been into cars all my life. My Grandfather hauled cars for GM for 35 years so my family has mostly been into GM muscle. My Grandfather had a Pontiac wagon (can't rememebr the year or model) with a tri-power 389, Mom had a '67 GTO, uncle had a '63 split window Vette, other uncle had a '64 GTO ragtop and aunt had a '69 Chevelle SS.

I've had a '70 Formula 400, '69 GTO (scared me to death!), '73 Super Duty TA, '82 TA, '83 TA, '88 5.0 Mustang LX, supercharged '93 5.0 Mustang LX and now have a '94 Firehawk with a 500hp 396 stroker motor and a bunch of other mods.

There are 2 cars I'm thinking about building... a '69 TA ragtop clone and a Factory Five Daytona Coupe.

    Yes, a steelers/ford guy, I knew I couldn't be the only one. I am a fan of all domestics though. I've owned a 65 lemans with a 455 swap, 82 z28, 89 5.0 with heads/cam/intake, 95 gt with heads/cam/intake/vortech blower (beast of a car till I wrecked it :banghead: ) and my current 03 cobra.

Absolutely. My dad is a product of the 60s muscle car era and still collects 1960s Fords, so I grew up around them. Im a big fan of American muscle, but recently just bought a Mercedes SL55 so Im really starting to appreciate European muscle too.

The car is actually a compromise between me and the wife. I wanted a Corvette GS or Z06, but shes always liked the SL Class Benz, and the SL55 is the best of both worlds. The only gripe that I have is that its a freaking slush box. :banghead:

In time I want to add one of the performance packages from RennTech or Eurochaged and get it up near the 600HP mark.

This isn't the car, but is identical to the one I have:

Wow, I'm poor compared to all of you guys! Lol

I'm a car guy, but my current stable isn't all that exciting. I have a 79 Camaro and a 94 Caprice 9C1 that are both in a state of restoration. My daily driver is an '11 Mazda3 S. It works just fine for my 65 mile daily commute.

I should also mention my dads cars. He's been loyal to the Blue Oval his whole life and his garage is full of full size Fords from the 60s. Galaxies to be specific. He's currently got a Red Convertible with a 390, a black 427 Q-code car (single 4bbl, 410 HP), a blue 427 R-code (dual 4bbl, 425 HP)...this is his crown jewel, 12,000 miles, numbers match, completely stock and restored to the way it rolled out of the show room..., a station wagon (for kicks), and a 1966 Impala also with a 427 (he slipped and hit his head once and bought a Chevy). Hes also currently finishing up a 1963 1/2 imitation lightweight Galaxie with a new 460 crate motor from Ford which puts out 550 HP that he's planning on running a few times next year. I can't wait to see this because he said he doesn't want to go too fast, maybe into the 12's and thats all. But Im guessing with the proper set of slicks, he's got a mid to high 11 second car on his hands.

Your dad is ok in my book. :clapping:

I love some of the old Fords. The Galaxies, T-Bolts and of course Mustangs.

My uncle in CO is a BIG Ford guy. He's got his '35 3 window coupe, a '41 lincoln, '50 Merc coupe, '41 pickup and my aunt's '61 T-Bird. That's probably why I'm an Olds guy. It just seems like everyone and their brother have Fords and Chevys. The car shows and cruises around here rarely have any Oldsmobiles. Tons of mustangs, 55-57 chevys and (seemingly) more Goats than were ever originally built.

Most of my friends were heavily into cars and used to build most of them in their garages. That's how we used to spend our Friday night, Saturdays and Sundays depending on how many cars we needed to work on.

A good friend had a '68 Firebird with a worked 327 that used to scoot on down the road pretty good. His brother bought a white '68 GTO with a box of parts in the back seat and it ended up almost putting the rear bumper on the ground by the time he was done with it. The thing was one of the fastest cars I've ever been in. Another buddy of mine restored a '69 Chevelle SS 396 and it was one of the cleanest cars I've ever seen in my life. Inside, outside, underneath, engine bay, etc.

I'll never forget the time the guy with the Goat pulled up next to a local guy in a '72 DeTomasso Pantera GTS with full racing slicks and a worked 351.

They looked at each other, nodded, looked at the light and started revving their engines. I told my buddy to let it go because I saw that car run and it was wicked. He blew me off and when the light changed, he side-stepped the clutch, front end went up in the air and by the time we came down, the guy was a block and a half in front of us and slowing down because the race was over. His car just squatted and went. It was like a big electric slot car.

I love cars! There, I said it. :D I've been thinking about selling my Firehawk (if I can get what I want) and picking up a used C6 Z06, a used CTS-V or a used ZL1 Camaro (If they ever come on the market).
