The thread for him to STFU I defended him, I believe he didn't say anything off the grid. But his actions today were unnerving. We all know you are in the top elite so please act that way. Hard to defend his actions.

He was frustrated and lost his cool. It happens. Hopefully he doesn't let it happen again.

He seemed to have made nice quickly with Jones on the sidelines.

The way the offense was playing, I can see his frustration. He needs to reign it in a little with the theatrics, for sure. Jones seemed to be amused by it, though, when they showed some clips of them talking on the sidelines.

At the same time, the way that Jones suddenly gives us back the playbook, and a quicker release, he should be happier now.

Yeah watching Jones catch a couple of TD's on his first game back will probably help keep AB a little humble as well. He definitely lost his cool. Batch said though that it wasn't as big of a deal really and that he'd rather have a guy that's fiery like that instead of just a body on the field. I personally thought AB looked a little diva-ish there.

His attitude will be the deciding factor that keeps me from considering him an all-time Steeler great like Heath or Hines (of the modern era).

Brown wants to be involved. He wasn't at all during Vicks on field presence. I even commented in the game thread that he might as well go home. I agree he should be upset and see it as no big deal. Could he handle it like Heath did? Probably not but I also like his fire. Vick was a joke out there and AB just was pointing it out. Maybe it was too much but somebody has to let him know. MT sure wouldn't. JMHO.

i didn't think it was that bad but jones threw it at his feet and AB stretched out his arms like what was that and was yelling back to Jones. jones didn't seem phased by it though. I think he showed some other frustration before that as well.

i can't think of a particular case but it seems like he has had that reaction with ben if he doesn't see him open.

the guys passion is what separates him from others. Although i don't know what he is saying I don't see it as a problem

Wideouts are drama queens. He needs to realize that Patrick Peterson was on his butt all day. A top 3 NFL corner. There was a reason why Bryant did as well as he did.

Ben and Brown have chemistry 5 seasons will do that, Vick and Landry have never ever played with him. Chemistry wasn't there. Landry had a lot of good chemistry in pre-season with Bryant and it showed today.

Be a diva WR, he showed his displeasure when Landry threw a pass that hit AB in the foot.

Really? I guess I never looked at it that way. AB as a player is better than both Heath and Hines. I know a lot of people are turned off by some of the on field antics, but I don't really see any of it as a distraction.

He lost his cool and showed some outward frustration. He's probably the best WR in the league and our back up QB's haven't gotten him the ball.

Greg Lloyd plead guilty to a domestic violence charge for pointing a gun at his wife's head, and allegedly shoved a gun in his sons mouth. He's recognized as a Steeler great.... He may be a bad person, but he was a great player.

I guess my point is that I don't think a little frustration and some over the top touchdown dances take away from how great of a player AB is. He is spectacular.

Ehhhhh I am not sure that I am ready to call him better than Hines Ward yet. Hines was head and shoulders above AB as a "football player", there is no question about that so I assume you mean that AB is a better playmaker. I guess I would agree you there because he is faster, but they are equal (Hines might actually have edged him out) in terms of hands and catching. While Brown uses his speed to make plays, go back and look at Ward's highlights. He was running over and through people to make plays and touchdowns. He was also a monster around the goal line.

AB has the return game advantage for sure, but Ward was much more useful to the team as a run blocker. At the end of the day, there are a lot of guys that have similar skillsets to AB although he maximizes his skills better than most of the guys close to him), but there are very few Ward-type WRs.

If the game was on the line and it was 4th and goal and we needed to score to win, I would pass to Ward in his prime over Brown in his prime unequivocally.

All of that said, how much of ABs fat stats are attributed to Ben and how much are attributed to Brown?

He's falling into the great player bad leader category. Hines was a great leader too. C'mon man.... We won the game.... With our 3rd string QB.....Be a good teammate

Maybe Brown is hyper-competitive and just wants to win. That said, he talks a lot about his stats and breaking receiving records. That on top of the fact that he wants a big new contract makes it seem as though while he still likely wants the team to win first, he would also like to see big stats so he can demand that bigger contract.

The double team argument is silly to me because even Hines Ward was double and triple covered and he was still very effective, even before Ben was here.

Final thought. I wonder if Vick went over and chewed Brown out for dropping that TD in the Ravens game like how Brown chewed out Landry for throwing that low 5 yard pass.

I didn't have the game on tv, so I couldn't watch.... But stat line shows that AB got his catches and yards..... Thank goodness for him..... I'm sure AB is happy today.

Not sure if happy is the word I would go for. After Bryant's TD catch in the endzone Brown looked pretty worked up about something on the sideline.

Well we all kno who's fault it is that AB's streak ended,... I see AB is not having any problems catching balls from LJ the pst two weeks... Idont blame him one damn bit for saying what he said abt Vick,, ... Vick is prob the wrst QB in the league right now....

Brown has taken a major step back since Ben went down. I'm not sure Vick was even aware he was on the field most of the time but that drop in the endzone cost the Steelers that game and that drop on Sunday REALLY hurt. Elite WRs don't do that. Beginning of the year I would have argued he's the best WR in the league, now he MIGHT be top 5?

Ben is just that good. He makes the WR's better and he throws a medium range ball that's easy to catch and not zipping at 60 mph.
