#18 WR David Gilreath was a beast last night. If or when Sanders foot gives out, be nice to know that we have this guy to fill in.

I dunno about being an AB clone...but he had a good game. We'll have to see if he makes the team.

He did look like AB a bit.. Maze and Clemons both were non-existant and Gilreath was making plays. If things don't fall apart for him, I think he make's the "53".

Gilreath was a good receiver at Wisconsin. I think he would be a solid receiver for us!!

he carried the ball alot up there too. 25 tots one year. he's a good returner also. maybe more of a cross between rainey and brown. that ain't a bad thing.

I read an article today about him having the inside track for the 5th WR spot, assuming Wallace signs.

I didn't get to see this dude, but all I have read all day is what a good performance he put on. And yes, if he's even in Brown's pool house or a cross between AB and Rainey then sign the guy up.

But, I have to say that I like having a mixed bag of WR skill sets like we had last year. Please sign Wallace and everyone sing kumbaya and let this be water under the bridge already!!!

I wish we were so lucky we could clone another 84,no
84 has to big of motor for cloning. Dynamite, electric, charisma
he is far and away the best Steeler wide receiver we have had here in a long time.
Barring injury, the SKY is the limit, why do you think Ike has to fight him in practice?
    BECAUSE HE CAN"T COVER HIM.

Maybe. I went to youtube and found this highlight reel and like you I wondered if he was the next AB . In the video below watch the fake cut at 2:07 that allows him to take it to the house. Amazing cut and ability to mainstain speed.

speed kills, and we have added alot this year. the best part is we have added speed AND brains. when this all comes together we are going to be hard to handle.

Well, he was cut by the Colts, Rams, and Bills. Maybe he's taken the James Harrison route? But, sometimes you see these WR"S come out of no where. Like Antonio Brown and Victor Cruz of the Gaints. I'm pulling for the guy, I think his special teams ability which is most important aspect of the #5 WR on a 53 man roster, but you never know with a few injuries you can be on the field quickly.

Gilreath is a guy they wanted to look at this week. They went to him and he produced. Nothing more could be expected of the kid. I would give him some punt returns and KO returns this week just as a look, especially if Wallace is coming back. It would give him a role.

I honestly don't think there are a lot of roster battles on the O side of the ball. The practice squad gives us some options with guys like QB Johnson and the new kid Ford. A LG like Lee could work his way onto that and then get promoted at some point. You just never know.

this is probably why he went all out on sunday because he was cut by the colts,,now he plays against the 2nd team that cut him...Buf..

the guy can take a hit,,he got hit pretty good after one catch, close to the sidelines, and he fought his way back for another 9 yards
