Show me a great receiver who didn't want the ball every play and show me one that isn't " always " open. Just because AB wants the ball doesn't mean Ben has to force it to him. Ben has made a living off of AB in his time here and vice versa. Like you said good or bad Ben will force the ball to the guy he feels has the greater chance of success and who he trusts.

I'm not concerned about that. AB is an enormous pain in the ass about getting the Ball. Thats the biggest reason Ben forces it to him. I just don't see JuJu behaving like that.

Saw a tweet this morning from Reggie Jackson reaching out to AB and telling him he needs to stop this story. To talk to someone other than his normal crew and get better advice.

I don’t think so because I think JuJu will be ok with winning even if he isn’t putting up NFL record setting numbers.

    Concur with Blast.

Top 10 pick or not, Pittsburgh needs all the assistance they can get. Nevermind attempt one last run. Get the defense in place for young Mason as well.

Of the formulas that has worked out well for the Steelers, it is the one they have been following since the 80s. Find a franchise Quarterback. Build a great to elite defense behind him. Pound the rock. Rinse and repeat. That must continue.

When we won with "less" we had defenses with multiple hall of Famers. That is no where near the case any more.

All the teams are in the playoffs are very good running teams. Was just reading an article about whether the NFL is trending back in that direction.

I'm not talking about the 70's. Plus you don't know what players they will add next. They have a good nucleus, they need to add a couple playmakers.

    Interesting.

How did we win XL? XLVIII? How did we go to XLV?

For that matter, how were the last five years won offensively? Just passing?

Talked about this a couple years back regarding Tennessee's "Exotic Smashmouth" offense. It was dismissed quickly because the high level of passing teams at the time. I believed it then. The 2016 draft onward reinforces that overall swing within the current paradigm.

The NFL is still going to be passing based but the league overall is slowly transitioning into a power based one. Too many teams use sub packages for the run game to exploit due to the personnel matchups. I would not be surprised if the Super Bowl teams have either top 10 rushing attacks or top 10 offensive lines who do well in the ground game.

Sanders don't want any part of the **** show here. He's already said AB was 100% wrong for how he handled the last week of the season, echoed Ben calling people out on his radio show and reiterated the fact that tomlin gives too much leeway and preferential treatment to his star players

So Mahomes 50 td’s don’t make them a passing team. Nobody said they weren’t good at running but the NFL if a passing league. Brees and Brady tomorrow are all passing QB’s.

That was 5 years ago now and they had a offense with a hall of fame QB and rb. Golden Tate and Baldwin are pro bowl receivers. Not like they were the 85 bears or 2000 ravens.

In the 2000s the defense had multiple hall of Famers. Say what you wan bout Harrison but he will one day get in. May take him 8 ballots but he will get in. Polamalu is first ballot. And I would take all those guys over what we have now. Only 2 guys on this team would start for either one of those teams and that would be Haden and watt.

Long time ago. You could still hit people In 2010. The rules and the trends have changed the NFL. Did you see the sb last yr? Complete shootout.

It’s a shame Emanuel Sanders didn’t show us much when he was here. Looks like he was the 1 of the young money crew we should have kept.

Yep. It was a different game then no doubt.

However, why are some of the NFL's top teams in the playoffs this season have either top 10 rushing attacks and/or offensive lines who are top 10 in rushing?

For that matter, why have there been Running Backs selected in the top 10 for the past three years?

Stop saying multiple. You make it sound like the team was laden with HOF talent like the 70's. They had one sure fire in Troy. JH will not make it, his body of work is too small and has less than 100 sacks. That doesn't mean he wasn't head and shoulders above anything they have now.

That said, all they need are a couple playmakers on this defense.
