It was a win for the situation. People seem like they forget (willfully ignorant?) of the fact that Brown drove down his trade value with his behavior. If Brown was a model citizen then yeah it would have been a terrible deal. People want to blame Colbert which is simply laughable. There was very little of a market for Brown. That's what happens when you are on video publicly stating that any team that'd trade for him would have to give him guaranteed money and play by his rules. Gruden is the only one dumb enough/ has the balls to take on a player like that who is almost certainly going to be a huge challenge to manage.
