I hope they reward this idiot with a chance at a SB title.

I don't see how he doesn't go straight to the exempt list if he's signed.

I remember when he was first after a trade thinking that the Saints made the most sense for AB. Dynamic offense that is surprisingly short of superstar receivers.

But somethings up if he can just walk back into the NFL like that.

Everything about those girls stories would have to be discredited for him to step foot on a football field this year.

Remember, it's about the shield and he at least corroborated some of this stuff with his own texts.

It's funny how every time AB farts the media falls all over themselves speculating about when he returns and what impact he has. Many shows had 10+ minute segments on how good the Saints will be with him.

It's all crap. He's not playing again this year. If he signs today, he's going on the exempt list. If the NFL doesn't figure out what they're going to do with him by Tuesday, he won't be available for the WC round, so he'll only be available for the divisional, NFCC, and SB rounds.....and that's assuming NO punishment. He's got to get AT LEAST 2 games for the threatening texts alone. Then there's the other incidents that they could punish for including the assault charge. I think the absolute BEST case scenario, he misses 1 game on the exempt list and then 2 as punishment, which would make his only availability the Super Bowl. And that's working on the thinnest of margins.

The Saints may have a card from the NFL that says we owe you one because of the pass interference debacle last year. I would not be surprised if the Saints turned in the card. I have heard on Fox Sports Radio the Saints have asked the NFL what Brown's status would be if they signed him. The NFL could say a 10-game suspension retroactive from week 4 of the 2019 season and that Brown is now eligible. I highly doubt this would happen, but the NFL has been very underhanded on a lot stuff over the years.

You know... it would be funny if the Saints sign him, and the NFL delays any disciplinary action until their investigation is complete - and they complete the investigation on January 31.

I'd rather AB fumble in the SB and have the other team pick it up, and run it in for the game winning score.

That would be super great but then NE would probably win a 7th SB.

Doubt they get past the Ravens, but if they do, then so be it. I'd rather them win than AB It also doesn't need to be the SB. Perhaps AB fumbles in the NFC championship and the 49'ers win as a result.

    Better?

How about: AB catches game winning TD in the NFCCG. Then other team challenge, and it shows OPI. Play ruled out, Saints lose.

I've read where if they sign him after the end of the season then the Saints wouldn't have to pay him personally, rather his pay would come from the league from the pool of playoff money. This does 2 things.....first it costs NO nothing to sign him even if he's exempted, and second makes the league pay Brown for not paying possibly forcing them to make a decision on his status since they'd be on the hook.

If the Steelers can't win the Superbowl then I was picking the Saints, I will
change my pick if he signs with Saints to KC.

No way, he would just whine the refs screwed him. I want the whole world talking about how AB could have won the game, but he blew it. 0 catches for 0 yards with several dropped passes would be perfect. Or perhaps 1 catch and a fumble would work too. Either way, I want the whole world talking about how AB cost his team the game

I agree with you that the Saints are owed this one. Terrible call last year!! I hate AB but would get a huge kick out of seeing him in the playoffs.
