You are entitled to your opinion, but it doesn't fit the facts.

Who said they wouldn't let him play? The plan would have been for him to play. I'm just acknowledging that he might have forced a suspension or tried to hold out.

By the way, adding one more bit of evidence to my side of the argument, the offense looks like a disaster without Brown. This delusion that spreading the ball out more would make them better has been exposed as incorrect tonight.

The offense was terrible without Brown tonight. His supposed replacement as a starter at receiver, Moncrief, dropped at least three passes and produced very little.

Brown is now a Patriot. That is a fact, too.

Brown will count more against the Steelers' cap this year than he will against the Patriots. That's another fact.

I could go on, but those are enough. The Steelers blew it in their handling of the Brown situation. I know many folks here are too stubborn to admit as much, but ignoring the facts won't make them go away.

I'm betting AB will be a saint rest of the year. He somehow got what he wanted.

I'm not sure how given that the facts have fallen on my side of the argument, even moreso after tonight's debacle.

Yeah, but I’m not interested in playing the moving target game.

All that nonsense about the helmet
It's not like they beat the Patriots often with Brown, he didn't care much about the team or winning, he was more concerned with his stats and money .

Paul Zeise sports writer said it best. If Roger Goodell had any courage he would have suspended Brown under his commissioner clause for threatening violence against a general manager. But he has none, he's scared.

Fact: Brown is a Patriot and they got him for nothing. The Steelers opened the door to that by trading him.

Fact: Last night was the second consecutive game without Brown. Both times, the offense looked like a shell of its former self. They struggled against a terrible Bengals defense at the end of last season. Of course, the Patriots are a much bigger challenge, but the fact is the Steelers only scored three points last night.

Fact: To this point, Smith-Schuster has not proven himself capable of being what Brown was for the Steelers. Maybe he can get there, but right now, he's not that guy.

Fact-based opinion: At this point, the Steelers don't have a quality No. 2 receiver. You can argue that if you like, but I will direct you to the play of Moncrief last night and remind you that he's never been anything special.

Fact: Every analyst who spoke about the trade at the time said the Steelers didn't get enough for Brown.

It's not about tenacity. It is about being right and we started seeing the results on the field last night. I hope they prove me wrong the rest of the way, but they showed few signs of it in the opener.

How many of those receptions came after it was 20-0 last night? Did the Patriots shut down Brown with single coverage the way they did Smith-Schuster last night? Your facts are missing some key points.

It's not just about missing Brown's numbers. It is about the lack of a competent threat to go with Smith-Schuster. They don't have one right now. Maybe one emerges, but that's not what we saw last night.

I simply stated facts. Please do not imply why I posted them to fit your agenda. It's dishonest.

Furthermore I did not reply to you, so why are you responding to me?
Who is following who around again?

    One more fact

    BR 9/18/19 276 passing yards
    BR 12/16/18 235 passing yards

    276 > 235
