    Bottom line is:
They don’t have him tomorrow, focus on trying to win the game.

If it comes down to meeting in the playoffs I hope so, takes a lot of wins to make the playoffs and we weren’t in them last year.

Once upon a time TB12 had Randy Moss, he threw over 50 TD’s in one season, and lost the super bowl

Play as a team win as a team.
Drown out the noise. I like that slogan.
    Play by that slogan

Man, a lot of Patsies worship on this (Steelers?) forum. F dem cheating bastards. Tomlin, Ben, and JuJu are going to be extra motivated. Steelers are gonna kick their arses tomorrow night, maybe again in the playoffs, and AB is gonna bring an end to their dynasty, for good. Here we go Steelers! :herewego:

NFL should handle this like college football..... fine... you want a new team.... sit out for a year and we’ll approve the transfer.... whole deal smells like fraud.

Don't tell Pats fans that, their team has never done anything wrong.

People were predicting that Brown would be a model citizen for the Raiders, after he got his monster contract.
    Then the practices actually started.

Let's wait to see if he makes it through the season before you decide you were right.

Yeah, those 100-plus passes he catches every season really crippled the Steelers. I am every bit as disgusted with Brown as the rest of you. The difference is I can see how badly the Steelers screwed this up, too. Your take assumes Brown is at fault for all of the Steelers’ disfunction last season. That seems unlikely at best.
Just to add insult to failure, the Steelers will have to face the guy they should have taken with the first of the picks they got for Brown, Winovich, who looks like he will make an immediate impact for the Pats.

As bad and as very unfortunate this is ,unless tampering can be proven, they didn’t do anything wrong. If the shoe was on the other foot there may be a lot of Steeler fans happy with the move. Before you can say our organization wouldn’t stoop to that level, this is the same org. that brought in Mike Vick . I remember how up in arms many where about that move. Vowing to not watch Steeler football anymore. Is what AB and the Pats did worse than what Vick did and the Steelers welcomed him with open arms? He was a Tomlin ( Virginia) special but some conveniently forget and still support MT wholeheartedly

Some of these same people have amnesia and now suddenly think this organization can and has never done anything wrong. You know the same leadership that couldn’t get on the same page for the national anthem and left AV out to dry. We lost some fans over that fiasco as well. That is because of poor leadership. So as bad as this sucks and everything else that has gone wrong for this team in the last few years sucks....the sooner people realize that the NFL is a business first and foremost, there won’t be as much hatred and vitriol being spewed....it’s not that serious to get so worked up.IMO

The season is upon us. It’s put up or shut up time. It’s actions speak louder than words time. . Make a statement between the lines.....All the excuses are used up.....

Just as suddenly as the other side thought they were right when the news broke about the Raiders voiding his guarantees and then cut him this morning. If that side can apply evidence that comes after the fact, so can I.

Do you seriously believe this doesn’t seem to be working out badly for the Steelers? Of course, we don’t know how Brown will play for the Patriots yet, but right now it looks bad for the Steelers

Again.....circling way back to the beginning......you're busy evaluating players like you would for fantasy football and you can't separate reality from fantasy. Pathetic, but it explains a lot.

I seem to remember a certain someone arguing that AB caved as soon as the Raiders took a hard line and that showed the Steelers should have done the same.

I hate to make such accusations without evidence, but it is hard to disagree with you given how it worked out and the Patriots’ historical disregard for league rules.

Want to hear something else that makes it worse? Brown will be playing for New England, but he will count more against the Steelers ‘ salary cap this season than the Patriots. Then he will get to be a free agent after the season.

Taking a hard stance is one thing. Taking all of his guaranteed money is another. But hey, if you want to claim I was wrong on a smaller point while getting the larger argument right, that is fair.

When Patriot's cut there center today around the time AB was released, i had a feeling they would sign him..... i hoped they would not but ........ i dont care what anyone says as fast as this played out there had to be some tampering that went on

It’s not quite as far fetched as AB trading $30 million for $9 million. His remaining guarantees were $14.625 million of guaranteed salary in 2019 plus $14.5 million in 2020. His new contract is for $15 million in 2019 ($9 is guaranteed, but it seems certain that if he behaves he makes the full $15 million). He’s then free in 2020.

So what AB really traded in $$ was to break even in 2019 (as long as he behaves), and then give up $14.5 in guarantees in 2020 for an opportunity to be a free agent. With his ego, I’ve got to believe that he thinks he’ll get WAY more guaranteed money in 2020 than the $14.5 million he’s losing from the Raiders’ contract. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent, and able to negotiate with any team - or franchised by the Pats and earn more than $14.5 million guaranteed.

It is not at all far fetched that he ends up better off financially. I think it’s 50/50.
