Definitely not. He was a couple accurate throws away from a huge day...

No he hasn’t lost a step. They are double covering him. Or single coverage then the safety drops down to double. That said Ben needs to throw it to someone else when he’s heavily covered. We won today because our running game finally showed up which helped our defense show up. The defense isn’t on the field much when we’re possesing the ball.

The running game finally showed up because they weren't playing catch up in the 1st half for once. Grand showing today.

I think he's playing with an injury. Everybody said he was the fastest ever this offseason and he was tearing it up in camp then he got injured and went missing for a week.

Browns fine maybe a lingering thing physically who knows. I think it's mental my self coupled with the fact that the O is trying to find its identity utilizing other players not named Bell and Brown and that's a damn good thing... However I don't think they'll ever exercise the force fed triple covered pass to brown once or twice a game regardless!

If Brown is in for the wins then he'll bounce back with him and Ben's hookup. If he's brow beating himself or others over personal stats it's gonna continue to be murky like it has been.

Ben missed him a couple times on rushed throws and simply being off on throws it can be ironed out further. Ben should have tossed that endzone pick out of the ez and lived for the next down. That's something I guess he'll never correct in those scenarios as a gun slinger. After he tossed that dart into muddied coverage in the 3rd to Brown keep the O going it just reminded me that they'll be fine.

He’s got to stop forcing throws to Brown. I can’t imagine defenses are confusing or tricking Ben, given his experience and how long he takes to survey the alignment before finally calling for the snap.

Definitely I just hope after the success today it doesn't get worse. Maybe it's just me but it's a little alarming that Ben seems to be abnormally hell bent on the connection with AB.. I don't think it's a positive. He has to spread it around for us to be at our best...

I wasn’t sure if you were saying he was young or old. I was thinking of Jerry Rice who I think was Pro Bowl at about 38. But that’s certainly an exception.

I don’t think so. Ben was pretty wild on a couple throws that AB could’ve done something with. 3 that I can remember off the top of my head... and it’s been that way all year.

No reason to panic on AB. He’s still the same guy, Ben just needs to sharpen up a bit and not sail so many over his head. There’s no reason for AB to have a huge final 11 games and beyond

Yes and no. He does have to take the open man for sure, but at the same time, some guys can be "open" while being covered. AB is one of those guys, within reason of course. A floater to AB in double coverage is going to be picked off more times than not. He's not a big guy. If Brown is being covered by a single DB, then chances are he's going to come down with the ball. We had our best offensive performance this year and Brown was heavily involved. That's not a fluke. Brown needs to be heavily involved, but only when he has a reasonable chance of making the catch. It's a fine line, one that Ben doesn't always seem to know which side he's on.

As for AB losing a step, that's ridiculous. If you're looking only at catch rate and not watching the games or understanding what's happening, then you have no business making conclusions about anything. Ben is missing AB more often than not. AB was wide open today on several plays and Ben missed him badly. AB hasn't lost a step at all. He's still the same player he always has

Yeah rice is an anomaly. Not the norm. He's the goat for a reason.

Still needs 22 more TD’s to tie Hines for most all time. Im pretty impressed I don’t think I ever knew that Hines had 85 in his career.

He looked just fine to me in the second half, once Roethlisberger started throwing the ball worth a damn. He had some chances to make plays last week, too, that didn't happen because Roethlisberger missed badly on the throw.
