As Randy Moss would say, "Ain't nuthin' but 10 grand."

From what I have been able to look up, it appears that NFL fines are tax deductible as well since they are donated to charity.

Goodell has a hot nut for the Steelers and will find any reason to slap a fine on them. I guess it is because the Rooney's don't allow him in their box.

Tradition... What a crock. Either it is a penalty everywhere or it isn't anywhere. Wearing leather helmets was a tradition too and that isn't done any more. The head slap by D linemen was tradition and now you can't do that. It seems a bit hypocritical to me.

VA, would you let goffdell in your box? I wouldn't. I was mad Bill Clinton signed my retirement papers. in 2008 i was 3 feet away from him and did not even offer to shake his hand. I feel the same about goofdell

    Thank you too mac daddyo
And the hand, true. I am traveling in Columbus OH right now. Wife put fox news on. Slick willie (stumping for obama) said when he was little and got caught with his hand in the cookie Jar, he turned red and took it out. Said Mitt Rimney grabbed for more cookies. I was waiting for someone to holler for Monica!

BTW thanks for your service devil dog. I know I've said it before, but we can't thank our men and women in uniform enough for protecting freedom and democracy all over the world. Everyone should keep that in mind on Tuesday and exercise your freedom that people like Coastal have helped preserve for us.

:amen: I completely agree! I really didn't see what he did as being that bad, and I'm not a fan of players show boating.

    spot on.

Actually the thing about spiking the ball over the goal post is really more of using the ball as a "prop" which you are not allowed to do. But when they dunk it over the goal post arent' they using the ball as a prop because it is actually functioning as a basketball at that point? I mean you don't "dunk" a football. So I think if they wanna look at things being used as props then they should say that celebration is a penalty. Also if you remember in 08 when Holmes caught that game winning Super Bowl TD he then used the ball like a bottle of "powder" and "poured" it on his hands and then threw it up in the air and that also would've been called a penalty if the ref had seen it. I think Holmes said he did that celebration in honor of Lebron James if I'm not mistaken.

We should just make them all drones and insert microchips then we can actually call the plays from the stands and over the net and sitting at home in front of our TVs. Kinda like Madden but REAL :)

Yeah but if WE called the plays and STILL lost games then WE would have to talk about firing OURSELVES so I just don't think that would work really good for this board. LOL.

Next thing they will be fined for is talking junk about each wives and mothers at the line.

The touchdown was called back so the taunting actually made the Steelers look silly. So, in reality they should ve fined the guy would committed the penalty for making them look silly.

Oh and youre not allowed to talk bout Goodell and the way he treats the Steelers. According to some members on this board, it makes us look immature and whiney.

It does sound whiney to say refs, god or any other person in the NFL makes or breaks the steelers.

They are responsible for their own fate, win or lose. Personally I don't think the NFL needs to fine as much as they do but hey its what we have now. I ALWAYS hold the organization accountable. AB should be held accountable for what he did and the coaching should make an example of him even if it means sitting him on the bench and losing a game. If Tomlin or the Rooneys or whomever did this and disciplined players like this we would not see it happen often or if it did then the repeat offenders would be on a plane out of the Da Burgh
