So should the Steelers automatically renegotiate the contract of any player who outperforms the contract they have? Not sure it'd be possible to run a team that way.

5200 views and 300+ replies for this topic............Crazy Man crrazzzzzy.

Look, there's nothing to worry about so all the negative post, hateful comments and uninformed inspired panic responses need to settle down.

AB drafted in the 6th rd had to compete for a roster spot, fight for snaps and with two more highly touted young WR knew he had an uphill climb to get that post rookie contract big deal. He did and jumped on it. He has outplayed that deal and knows there's now two younger Wr behind him trying to do what he did and the more they make the less he gets on his 3rd(final) contract. It's a business FIRST.

He ain't going nowhere and he ain't holding out... he won't miss one game due to this. He will perform at the standard high level he has set for himself. This is all that matters. He misses voluntary workouts....so what, even if he comes in a bit late for training camp, so! I hope he comes in a week late and doesn't play the 1st three preseason games. He will be fine, I want the bulk of the early work going to Wheaton/Bryannt & other WR anyways.

A lot of noise from AB. Which surprises me.The Rooneys will do nothing. They expect a signed contract to be honored. Once ABs checks stop coming in he will be in camp.

 The topic of AB possibly holding out isn't an intriguing one? Whether you believe he would or not doesn't matter, its a topic well worth discussing.

There's no noise from AB. The only thing he said was he's spending time with his newborn.

"Brown and his camp have already spoken to team management about redoing his deal and told them his absence this spring will be related to the deal. The Steelers are bracing for a possible camp holdout from Brown.....

Doesnt sound like the sound of silence to me.

Having the same thought you did, I googled the first bunch of words in his post and got at least 3 articles.

There was definitely a story early in this whole thing that said that stuff. I think the link might even be earlier in this thread.

THere have been a bunch of stories based off that lone tweet, but the only thing from Brown has been that he's spending time with his newborn(gasp) and can't wait to join his teammates. Brown's agent is no dummy. He knows damn well the Steelers won't renegotiate the contract and that holding out will only cost Brown money. Brown isn't there for voluntary workouts just like numerous other veteran Steelers.

From what Bouchette was saying Brown controls everything when it comes to his agent. That's why he left Jay-Z so quickly was because he wanted total control and they wouldn't give it to him.

Do you mean this? Your conclusion is huge leap to make from Ed's one sentence response.

Jerry in KC: Has anyone heard anything from AB? Seems like this is his snake oil salesman, err agents take (holdout) but what does AB have to say? He obviously didn't show for voluntary OTA's is that a sign he agrees with Drew R.
Ed Bouchette: Antonio Brown is running his own show.

Nobody hires Rosenhaus because they think they want to run their own show.

Lol! You may be right. It's awesome that he's up from AZ taking part in team activities.

    I love that photo.

I know the camera angle has a lot to do with it, but in the group shot Cam Heyward looks like Godzilla out there, towering over everyone else.
