How do you think he's performing since getting the big contract? Was the contract too much or about right for him?
I think he's doing pretty good and I think the offensive line problems are probably robbing him of some opportunities.
    What ya think?

He's earning his money. The decision to pay him and not Wallace was the right one. AB is a more complete WR.

I thought we gave too much to AB, and I was absolutely wrong.

He's 9th in yards, and leads the NFL in catches with 61. Yes it'd be nice if there were more touchdowns but unless you're a big redzone target those can be a lot of luck. He's also 6th in the NFL in first downs.

Brown is doing all this while being really the only threat in the passing game other than Heath. Sanders is a bum. Deion Sanders said earlier this week that Brown is the best route runner in the NFL.

He has been great but he seems to drop the ball at critical times, the drops against the Raiders were killer, the same against the Jets, he dropped a sure TD, he is worthy but he needs to get humble, too full of himself at times.

Compared to what the Dolphins are getting out of their $60 million man, AB has been a bargain for the Steelers!

I am pleased with AB overall. All WRs drop a ball here and there. They're human. He needs to work on it, and will. He gets more separation than most WRs in the league, and makes a lot of key plays.

Well, AB is the highest paid receiver in steeler history, is he the best we ever had at that position? And here is the list of the top 50 receiver contracts presently in the NFL, is there a lesser paid receiver on this list you would rather have than AB???

For your 2nd question - RE: is there anyone we'd rather have that's making less - you have to take into account that the star receivers on that list (Julio Jones for example) that make less than AB are still playing under their rookie contracts. I can honestly say that there are few, if any, receivers on that list who are: 1) playing under the 2nd or 3rd contracts, and 2) making less than AB, that I would take over AB. He is being paid a fair market value for his services.

Yep. It helps when you're seeing single coverage by a safety or linebacker in the red zone because AB and Heath are drawing attention.

he is a talent that we are lucky to have. I just wish he would stop the grandstanding, especially when we are losing. I love the guys that act like they are doing what they get paid to do, and have been there before!!

He's being paid too much. They should have split that money between both him and Wallace.

Keep AB, let Sanders walk, draft or sign a true #1 receiver.

other teams #1 receivers and TE get coverage too. you still have to produce if your the big money receivers. wouldn't every teams #3, be the guy with the most TD's if that's the case?

He's doing alright at least he's not fumbling this season, still too many drops and needs to score more TD's though.

As one poster said fair market value in todays game. AB has the heart and desire to be GREAT, and his work habits are genuine. The Steelers do know how to evaluate the WR position. They are lacking big time in other areas.

Too many cherry pickers among us..collectively this team sucks!! Their's an area in the front that comes to mind that can really spoil a WR's day! The AB value is fitting!
