The fact that the team was usually in close games shows they were prepared.

People are also wrong when they believe the Steelers have superior talent when in comparison to the other teams in the league.

The fact that other teams can compete with and win vs the Steelers proves that the Steelers are not superior. Especially when you consider the mistakes the players make on the field.

Ultimately players win and lose games in the NFL.

Obviously players are on the field and executing the given game plan , but if you can honestly say that if we swapped out o lines , our two top WR’s and Conner with
( heck throw switzt in too) oh IDK say NE’s ,that Brady and Bill wouldn’t have that group running like a well oiled machine , IDK but I bet if they did have that they could probably fire their punter

I believe that in the beginning Tomlin was limited in what changes he could make to the staff. Tomlin was taking over a veteran team, with Super Bowl potential, and I believe the Rooney's wanted keep Lebeau and Arians because that gave the team the best chance to win.

All that being said, I do not see Art II as a meddling owner. I believe that Tomlin now has full control over his staff, and most likely has had full control for sometime. If Tomlin wanted to make coaching staff changes, there would be changes. I highly doubt Tomlin wants to make staff changes and is being told no.

Just my two cents. Like you said, none of us no for sure.

Butler & Haley were not Tomlin's guys, they are Rooney hires imo. We will see what Art ll decides soon enough.

Well Brady and BB will probably go down in history as the best two to every do it. Do you care to compare Tomlin to any other coach that's currently coaching?

Oh and the Pats haven't been a well oiled machine this year. So................
