Not really new he has been Bens QB coach for 8 years, Ben lobbied hard to have him replace Haley, working together with Ben should provide a more cohesive offense as well as new concepts for what Ben and Fitch envision for this year:

Y'all may be in for a rude awakening when Roethlisberger retires. I hope Rudolph will be good enough to soften the blow, but I'm not betting on it.

Roethlisberger isn't Brady or Rodgers, but he's a Hall of Fame quarterback. He is well down the list of problems on the Steelers.

I thought about this for a couple of days thinking consistency is good.

Unfortunately, Ben has been very inconsistent. Now, he will be consistently inconsistent.

 

Scribe It's not really a surprise to anyone. We all know it's coming. So the team did its best to prepare. Ben may regress as he ages and it happens. Why is Rudolph being picked any threat to us not having Ben? He will retire if we picked nobody or somebody.

 

That’s every QB. Brady has bad ones every year also. To the point that people think he lost in over the course of a week. Manning always had a bad game here or there as well. Montana, Marino, Kelly, Unitas, basically every QB to ever play has a game or two a year where you go “huh? What happened?” These guys are still human.
