Another receiver?

Did I just read we claimed another wr and cut a corner? Shouldn't that be the other way around?

Let em battle it out in camp. Ben can never have enough weapons. If you are a CB being cut from this squad then there never really was shot to begin with unfortunately.

 

Will this guy ever catch a ball from Ben? He’ll be fielding balls from Rudolph in the 4th Quarter

 

One of the beat writers said he got sick and wasn't expected to be over it for the season if ever. Sounds like some sort of chronic illness, have to feel bad for the guy.

 

No real addition by subtraction here gang. Dude caught a bad break and wish him the best. Picked up a. Receiver that I don't think has ever caught an official pass. Call it a wash and wish Myers all the best on his situation.

 

That stinks. I hope he's ok in the long run.

 

Reilly draft analysis:

Lacks naturally soft hands and double-catches throws or outright drops them. Lacks deep speed and cannot run to the long throw.

 

Stanley Morgan Jr was the best Husker WR but he signed somewhere else or got drafted, I can't remember. Reilly wasn't terrible but he won't make the 53. I hope he is competitive for this camp though.

Disappointed to hear the news on Myres. I had him on the 53. Not even a chance to compete so that sucks. Artie Burns just got a much easier path.

Herb waters injured a shoulder. Down two backup corners now and we sign another receiver? Interesting.

 

Those are just camp bodies with no real shot to make the team. I would think the Steelers want to get a lot of reps for some of the corners battling for time and roster spots, especially Sutton, Allen and Layne.

 

Maybe they have faith in Artie

 

We still need some bodies for the preseason games. We don't have a ton of them in camp and now down two more.

 

Thus far, they have seen something in Artie that nobody else has.

He got turned around by Juju and was pissed about it and tried to come at Juju. Juju didn't back down and after a quick kung-fu staring contest Juju hugged him and they got back to work. Seems like he has the right mentality.

 

He looks like another Switzer. Tomlin and Colbert trying to be like the Patriots and get little white guys from Jiffy Lube Oil Change express to play WR.

 

New cb brought in. Derek Thomas. Player at Temple and then was a graduate transfer to Baylor. He started at Baylor and was picked up by Seattle.

 

Wanted him as a late round flier. Glad we picked him up. Hopefully he can earn a spot on the PS.

 

he's tall. 6-3 I thought I saw. Only 183 though.

From all that I've been reading on various websites, most of the WRs have been doing a great job. Those on the field anyway. JuJu, Moncrief had an injury hiccup, Washington, Johnson, Eli, Switz and Spencer have all been showing up. Johnny Holton hit with the injury bug. But if it continues this way, they will have some tough cuts. Eli, Switz and Spencer are all of the same mold. May come down to that 4th preseason game and injuries.
