Nothing as exciting as watching punters battle it out in training camp.

Now watching a punt get blocked because your punter is slow, that gets exciting.

Sounds like a good kid - best of luck to him. Certainly has the pedigree, with his dad being Kevin Butler.

Good. I like Kapinos fine, but he could use competition. May the best man win.

How about some legitimate competition for Suisham. I'm not comfortable going into the season with him as our kicker.

wait and see, maybe the kid will have something for him. reeds long is only 1 yard longer than squeezum. he's also had alot more touchbacks then reed. we can just type reeds name easier.

    :roflmao:

I find it highly disappointing that a team with Six Lombardi's cannot
find a decent punter or Kicker. Where are our scouts? They should be
beating the bushes for these specialists. Iam not confident with either
    are kicker or punter.

I like what Kapinos has shown to this point and am comfortable with him performing the punting duties.
In my opinion we should bring in competition for the placekicking position.

i'm dissapointed in the scoring of our offense (insert OC change things will be different now post here)
i just hope we put the ball in the endzone more often so we do not have to rely on fieldgoals but PATs
our offense needs to step up from top to bottom
    here's looking at you ben

Kapinos has been out the whole time, and I'm sure the team knows what he is by now.

From what I've heard so far about Butler, he can boom some really long ones (I think one of TTF's updates had him at 75 yards) but shanks plenty. Paul Ernster, anyone?

If he can become consistent, I'd be very happy with the occasionial 75 yarder. But I don't think this is the kind of position that you get a whole lot better at... well, at any point after you become an adult. You are what you are when you're a punter. It's not even super mental like being a kicker. I hope Kap gets healthy, because I think he'd win the contest if he was in it.

i agree it's kaps to lose. i've heard the kid is very inconsistant and has a bad rap for outkicking his coverage. kap can drop them inside the 20 and keeps them out of the EZ. i'm fine with him as our punter. he's not a small guy either.

Yeah, and I'm sure his injury is no big deal. I mean, who ever heard of a punter having to be put on IR? :roflmao: :lolol: :hehehe: :) .......... :( I made myself sad.

Our kicking situation sucks, probably because they did not expect a sharp decline in Reed's play. And who did? He was one of the best in the league for like 8 years before he started to suck out of the blue one day. Then Suisham came in and played great, so it was reasonable to expect him to continue that. He didn't. I agree that it would have been nice to find someone to replace him this year, but it's really only been one offseason of failure so far, if in fact Hrappman or whatever fails.

I don't understand complaining about the punting situation. Sep was great, and when he got hurt, he was replaced by Kap, who also did a great job. We've had two great punters the last two seasons.
