Sad to see some folks celebrating someone tearing a ligament.
I’ll believe it when I see it. His playing style certainly leads to some big games here and there, and is good enough to win a bunch of regular season games with their very strong roster. However, winning a SB requires a string of good games vs. good teams. He hasn’t been up to it thus far, and I’ll believe he can if/when it actually happens.

Injuries happen. No one feels sorry when we lose a major player. I'm sure when Watt went down last season there were applause as well when Minkah and Heyward got injured this year.

You never want to see any player go down with a major injury. But I don't feel sorry for the opposing team that it happens to.

Imagine if the Steelers suddenly figure out how to put everything together: Kenny becomes confident, clear visioned and decisive, Canada becomes consistent, the defense stops giving up huge chunk plays, and Tomlin uses clock management/challenges effectively - even if all of these things only improved by a modest amount, we could be looking at a deeper playoff run.

To ask for more than that would be greedy...but, then again, stranger things have happened in the NFL.

Even if the only major change is that KP becomes more confident, clear visioned and decisive, that could be enough to put us in the mix with a few other teams to be the second best team in the AFC behind KC. Even with Canada’s primitive passing scheme, the opportunities have been there.

Jackson may not be out yet, but he did lose Mark Andrews for the season and OBJ for possibly a few weeks

Wouldn't surprise me none if Jackson gets hurt too, he's about due. Even if he stays healthy, Andrews being out for the year is a huge loss

I don't see the Steelers getting to 12-5, too many injuries on defense, I hope I'm wrong though.

This is nothing I remember some idiot Jacksonville fan was making fun of Shazier getting injured, it's not like Burrow tore up his knee and fans were celebrating it.

You guys alway say this, but almost every year that Bradshaw had more ints than tds.....there are at least 5, or more Qb with more tds than ints....sometimes quite a bit more. Some people just use ...when He played ....as an excuse at how bad He was his 1st 4- 5 years.

I’d love to have the Steelers in first just to see that WTF look on Harbaugh’s face

Scapholunate ligament tears are bad injuries. That ligament holds the bones in the middle of the wrist together. Tear it and the bones separate and the entire wrist anatomy falls apart.

Hopefully they can fix it and he can come back healthy. I've seen wrists that have completely fallen apart after that injury and required a fusion or bone replacement because the wrist joint no longer works correctly as the bones have all shifted out of place. It's one of the most crucial supporting ligaments in the entire wrist.

That's the funny thing about it. Watch next flag will be not avoiding any injury causing motion to the QB!

I would take even that much myself. You can clearly see the difference in Pickett this year compared to last year. He was playing with more confidence, and looked like he was having more fun out there last year. You would think that with the improved offensive line play since Jones has been inserted as a starter, and improved running game, that it would open up the passing game, but it just hasn't happened for whatever reason. One of the reasons I feel is that our receivers just aren't getting open other than DJ, but he seems to be good for 2 key drops every game, and Pickens has only shown flashes. I think Broderick Jones is going to be a Pro-Bowl player, but I sure wish they could've gotten Addison too

I suppose I don't feel too awful bad when a player gets sidelined. I mean, I'll bare down and continue to go buy five dollar loaf of bread and eighty dollar fill-up while the poor injured player can purchase a new home weekly.

Hopefully getting Muth back will help juice up KP’s confidence. There seemed to be a growing connection there.

Man. It's not an excuse. He had no Offensive coordinator. He called his own plays. DBs were able to mug receivers all over the field. In fact Steelers DBs caused the rules to be changed on pass coverage. Terry had no QB coach. As he said many times it was just him and his men. He was the best QB to ever play the position in the history of the Steelers. It is most definitely NOT an excuse. I guess you'd rather have Picket than Bradshaw.

LoL. I Loved Bradshaw. Like I said many time...the 1st Jersey I owned as a kid. I wore that and My Pirates cap as a kid proudly, but some of You act like everyone in the league was throwing more ints than td, and that is not true. Again every year Bradshaw threw more ints then tds....there was at least 5 Qbs , or more those very same seasons that didn't.....that threw more tds than ints....so people can't just say He did it because of the times He played in....all of those other Qbs were playing against the very same rules. Bradshaw no matter how great He became, and He became awesome.....sucked His first 4-5 years. Some just don't want to remember it the actual way it was.

Did any of those 5 other QBs win back to back superbowls twice?? Nope. I give up. Bradshaw sacked.

I find it funny that You act like what I said didn't happen. That's all. I can Love Bradshaw, and still know his 1st 4- 5 years He sucked. You keep bringing up SBs....well I keep saying His 1st 4-5 years, and His 1st SB win didn't come during any of those years. I think You aren't reading what I'm say, or something. Yes He became awesome. Yes He won 4 SBs....He still sucked His 1st 4-5 years. Both can be true.

That is concerning. I wonder if the pop he felt after the next throw could have done additional damage. Profootball doc said that was likely due to relative motion of the bones in the wrist.

I find it funny that, for an example of how our defense makes rookie QBs look like superstars, you choose a guy who wasn't very good in his early years. Most would have chosen a Montana, or a Marino, or a Brady. Did any of those guys get pulled in favor of a Hanratty?
