Fantasy football is kind of like Farmville for sports fans but I agree, it's been fairly mainstream but each year, I know less and less people who play so it seems to be getting old, at least for some people.

Wow was I ever surprised. I got an average of 6.0 YPA. I counted the incompletions and I counted the interception as -6 yards. The standard deviation of that data is 6.7, which is pretty darned good. It's reasonable to expect a 6 yard gain each time a bubble screen is attempted.

So there was a thread for the BA supporters and one for the BA haters, and the articles linked in both threads was from the same writer Smizik.

    Now that's funny.

My brother looks at me like I'm crazy when I say the reason for the rule changes is fantasy football.

BA wasn't horrible, but he was flawed. Personally, I hated the bubble screen not for what it gained or the play itself, I hated it because every defense knew when it was coming. You see this is one of those flaws. BA didn't set up anything. There was never an attempt to do more with it than just calling the play. Why did you run that play then? Well, sometimes it is for no other reason than to call this play later. For instance, why do you run a button hook 4-5 times early in the game with multiple receivers? So when that receiver slows down later in the game the CB stop to try to defend it. You then run past him deep. Wallace can flat out run past guys, but how often did we do this? How many running plays do we have that aren't the LG pulling an running behind the RG. Yep, Mendy went the distance a couple of times last year on the play. Yeah, does that mean we can only run that? Empty backfields, always from the shotgun, too much 5 wide, not using the TEs after the 1st quarter, etc. Lots of flaws.

You see I agree with Ben, this Offense has the ability to be really good. The problem was BA had stagnated. He was doing the same thing over and over.

"He was doing the same thing over and over."

Well, if he was expecting different results then that's one definition of insanity. Maybe that's what's wrong with him. He's smart but crazy.
