Amazed at complexity of running a game

After reading the ESPN report on the Cheatriots, I was reminded how complex and fast the game of football really is. The idea that all of the following happen between the ending of one play and the beginning of another is incredible:

Someone on the coaching staff evaluates the down and distance
A play is decided upon by the coordinator from a fairly long list
I guess the head coach weighs in
The play is relayed to the team captain (offense or defense)
The correct players have to get on the field
The wrong players have to get off the field
The play is communicated to the team
The players get to their positions
The players evaluate what the opponent is up to
Ben calls a time out

Just kidding about that last one.

All that in the time it takes me to dip a chip and eat it. I love football.
