Doesn't sound like the Bills or Jets gave up a lot either.

A third round pick is not nothing for a rental

There's no guarantee a third-round pick amounts to anything, or even first-round picks for that matter.

True they haven't exactly set the world on fire: Kendrick Green, Leal, DJ, Layne, Washington, Highsmith, the Wilsons

Would you trade Highsmith or Payton Wilson for Adams?

So about a 50% hit rate for starting over the past 5 years, with a 4 yr low cost contract. - DJ, Highsmith, Washington, P. Wilson - all starters
    Duds - Green, Leal, Layne
Jury is still out- Roman Wilson

I love draft picks, the Bills window still looks open and that trade may produce, so you take that chance. The Jets it seems like a desperation move.

I would have loved the Steelers to pickup Adams for a 3rd

Adams led all WRs in TD for the last 2 years and only cost's 11.59 million this year, and come with a contract that has no guaranteed money for his future years. They could release him at the end of the year and pay nothing.

actually the Jets are only on the hook for the prorated salary for the rest of the year, and if we were a better team I might agree, but we are not a SB contending team and Adams would not make us one. The Bills are, getting Cooper was worth the pick.
