All Boxes have Officially Been Checked

So here is a question. Bill Belichick and Mike Tomlin are both defensive minded coaches. Much has been said about Belichick not being able to win without Brady. This is true. But even in his worst times, when have you watched a game that Belichick was coaching in, where his defense had the ridiculous amount of miscommunication errors that the Steelers often have?

Year in and year out, the defense has games where they seemingly fall apart and look confused. For whatever reason Steelers fans choose to blame the players. I don't. To me that is on your coaching staff everytime. If you have guys running wide open and you fail to make adjustments, that's on your coach. If you have a couple of guys who aren't doing their jobs, and your coach fails to make adjustments. That's on your coach.

 

That’s what they do! Players get 100% of the blame for not executing the flawless game plan that MT puts together. Funny part is that it’s been many different players over 14 years of ineptitude

 

Exactly! The faces keep changing, but the problems stay the same. What is the one common denominator???

 

Common sense is not a strong point amongst the MT faithful.

I am very interested to see how the final game of the season shakes out. The Bengals fought their collective asses off yesterday. They are still in playoff contention.

Skill positions aside, The Steelers have a better roster than the Bengals. The Steelers O-line sure isn't great, but the Bengals line is even worse. Defensively the Steelers are heads and tails better.

The Steelers will go into this game healthier than they have been in weeks. There really are no excuses.

If the Steelers lose a hard fought game that's one thing. But if they come out looking like the dumpster fire we watched on Christmas Day that's another thing entirely. Tomlin will have had plenty of time to right the ship before this game is played. Can't blame Ben for this one.

 

Read the board some and it becomes painfully clear. Are you one?

 

It's not clear at all. I see the schleprocks who blame eh, he, heverything on Tomlin. Are you one? And those who realize that fans complaining on social media isn't going to change squat no matter how many times a day you do it!

at that point, the pressure was enormous, Tomlin would have been FIRED ON HIS ASS had they not gotten into the playoffs.....which in hindsight, would have been best.

ROONEY giving him that extension was just plain STUPID!

a FAN gets PISSED because of passion, and DEMAND change when you SUCK and have NO CHANCE at being great, in a sport that requires greatness and does not SETTLE for mediocrity.

Thank you! I had to pass this on to Steeler fans I know who have zero involvement with this board. Response I got after telling the truth, hit the nail on head. Must admit, for fun with family I told them they were my thoughts and mailed them off to the Burgh. The very first person who got and read it called me. First word out her mouth, "you're full of sh--, you stole this from the sports section." I gave full credit to you using your board name. Which got this response, "do what for Watt".

Ben was an underachiever and imo never worked to become greater than his physical talent.
