Are you seriously comparing Burns to Ramsey? The crown jewel CB of the draft at pick 5?

Anyway, I think you are drinking, seriously, your posts including the 2 after this are incoherent and jumping all over the place.

    Thats it for me tonight.

STUPID STUPID STUPID. All Kirk Cousins has done his career has shown he is a good fantasy football player to have. I do actually like him though. I agree, if Ben would have just retired I would go after him no doubt.

Because I never said to cut Ben. You said they don't have the cap room to get rid of him as if cutting him is the only option when if they trade him that frees up the cap space. And arent you one of the same guys who said I was stupid for suggesting they trade up to get minkah fitzpatrick when you just acknowledged you don't get the same quality guys later in the draft that you do early. Those are the type of guys you need to beat ne so if you aren't getting those type of guys what indirect message are you sending? That you concede to playing 2nd to them?

I might be in the minority, but I don’t get the Kirk Cousins love.

Like, he’s good (at a time when good QBs aren’t all that plentiful), but I’m not convinced he’s great; and he’s on the market, but that seems to inflate his value. Neither of those reasons are enough for me to see the sense in targeting him.

The OP did and that's who I responded to. Trading Ben isn't very realistic though. A 36 year old QB with a huge price tag.

No. Not even sure I responded to it but IIRC, you wanted to mortgage the future by giving up a kings ransom to do it. So now who's being contradictory?

You have a very annoying way of debating, you include every conversation you've had into whomever your currently speaking with. Try to stay on topic and stop throwing everyone into the same pot.

Smith is getting paid well and all the skins gave up for him is a 3 pick and a player to be named:

according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Redskins and Smith have reached an agreement on a four-year extension, meaning he gets the extension and commitment from the Redskins that Cousins could never get. Reports peg Smith's deal as averaging $23.5 million per year with $70 million guaranteed. Whew.

Multiple reports indicate the Redskins gave up a third-round pick for Smith and a player to be named later, which is a pretty rare instance in the NFL.

Well the Redskins and Giants just made decisions that will keep them at the bottom of the Division for years.

Giving up draft picks and players for Smith?

Didn’t the Giants watch the NFC Championship game?
    Viking Offense did nothing.

A buried nail on Oak Island!?!....did brothers Rick and Marty uncover Templar treasure near the money pit?......NO they did not and the notion about getting Cousins is about as ridiculous.

I'm more worried about Mahomes now being the KC QB. This kid will be a star. Smith = Cousins. Will only take you so far...and damn Smith got a monster contract!

Very proactive by the Redskins, I'll give them that. Wonder if Arizona will dive into the Cousins sweepstakes.

They had no choice. After what they gave up to get Mahomes, they have to start him. Would have been a quicker exit out of town for Andy if he didnt play him.

Cant keep Smith on the bench looking over Mahomes shoulder either.

I thought Andy screwed up when he traded up for him. We'll see if it pays off now.

    Unless Reid is brilliant.
He may have given himself 2-3 more years because a rookie is starting, built in excuse.

Well, reid just freed up 17 M in cap space and he gets a 3 pick and a player for alex so he made out pretty good, the surprise is the skins gave alex a 4 year 94 mill contract with a 70 mill guarantee and they get nothing for Cousins......

Maybe you didn't but it was pretty much everyone on the forum. Also imo the future isn't Ben. He's the present. I don't consider the next 2-3 years as future plus i don't see him being elite for no more than 2 years as he's taking too much punishment in his career. 5 years imo is future but is a subjective argument for anyone to say as the timetable for future could be more or less for someone else. I was saying mortgage the next year and year after to maximize chances now cause I think if we don't make a good enough roster to win it next year we will never win it anytime soon.

You are brave for taking this discussion on and a miracle working for deciphering what was being said. You, sir, win the internet! I couldn't even figure out what language some of the post were in?

Wow this really is the silly time of the year. Cousins is asking and will probably get huge money from someone but for what. He might turn out to be Flacco 2.0.

Redskins should have seen what they had and signed him 2 years ago instead of jerking him around with the franchise tag and telling him he wasn't wanted.

If Tomlin and Belicheat swapped teams, Belicheat would still win.

Ben is a Steeler for life, you trade or cut him.

Cousins IMO proved that he is actually a smart guy. He made $30 million + for 2 yrs and had no contract.

Yup because tomlin isnt in his class as a coach. And yeah cousins is smart plus I think he ultimately didn't want to stay in Washington.
