Yea, I saw a report today says Highsmith could be back Week 13 against the Bengals. And that Highsmith is currently in a walking boot.

 

At least he will be back at some point....My concern was that he was out for the year

Excellent news! I was hoping for 2 to 3 weeks.

 

I guess you don't realize Tomlin heard from the doctors.

 

It looked to me like a turned ankle, which is a very typical basketball injury from when a player jumps and comes down on another player’s foot.

It hurts a lot but usually is healed in a few weeks.

 

Agreed, but His initial reaction on the field made me fear the worst.

 

Lower ankle sprain is much better than a high ankle sprain when it comes to recovery. Still can’t rush him back though.

 

It's what I've heard, although I've never had a high ankle sprain....they've always been low ankle sprains so I couldn't say how true this is.

 

I’ve had several low ankle sprains and was usually back to a 100% sooner than I thought I would be initially. I’m no athlete nor have I ever had a high ankle sprain but they seem to linger more according to what I’ve seen in professional sports. Still can’t rush him back though. He’s too big of a piece of the puzzle if we make the playoffs.

 

He seems to be missing alot of games this year.

Sunday was a shame, ugly ankle roll

 

correct - he will miss at least 2 and probably 3 games. we have 3 capable OLB's

 

he speaks coach speak. they ALL do. I said on Monday he will miss at least 2 weeks. that is all i was saying.

 

He missed two games which the Steelers lost both. Every other game he played in the Steelers won.

 

I Love the Kid, but He needs to bring more pressure. Again in this last game....I noticed He was one on one almost the whole game...I can only thinkof 3 times the wholegame He saw anything besides one on one, and that was while Watt was takinga breather. Meanwhile...Watt was doubled, and even triple teamed almost the whole game.. Heyward is winning more one on one battles.
Again I really like Highsmith, and we miss him when He's out....He just needs to take better advantage of all those one on ones.

 

I knew someone was going to write that. Remember, Herbig missed a big part of that Dallas game, too. Also, they are better equipped to handle Highsmith's absence with the trade for Smith.

 

Highsmith may have a low sack total, but he is generating a great deal of pressure. Also, he did have two sacks against the Giants and he had another one wiped out by a penalty against the Commanders.

 

I love Alex. He is very good OLB

 

And Preston Smith barely played any snaps, and got a sack right away.

 

That's also leaving off that Fields, and not Wilson was the Qb for those games.

 

One of the guys I watched with last weekend is an Orthopedic Surgeon. He thought there was a 50/50 shot that it was broken, which would've put him out for close to the rest of the season. Glad we got the result we did.
