You are completely lost if you think Hines ward is better than Irving. Freaking lost. I actually thought some of you nimrods know something about football. I feel like I am on A NY giants forum. Hines ward is not in the same league as Michael Irving. Who friggin cares what he did off field.

His name is Irvin... not Irving.

This is getting as bad as "Tomlinson" for Mike Tomlin and "Collingsworth" for Cris Collinsworth.

You are wrong about Hines Ward. Irvin is one of the most overrated WRs in NFL history... OchoCinco is the only other WR who is overrated even more!

Irvin = over rated. He was allowed to cheat. Half of his catches involved him pushing off defenders. He was a 1st ballot HOF because of the love affair the media had with that Cowboys team.

And to say Ward wasn't in his class is ridiculous. get a clue

What topic? All's was said was Bruce and Owens made it. I am real and Hines Ward is and will be a Hall of Famer. And as far as the comparison for Ward and Brown it's a moot point dude. Hines was an All Time Great Wide Receiver, not only catching passes but doing the dirty work as well. Oh and a Super Bowl MVP to go with the other 2 he played in. So I guess you think that Cris Carter belongs in the Hall of Fame as well? Andre Reed? Tim Brown? Common...

    No
No, what was said was how are these guys nominated but not Hines. Owens is a jackass but 10x the receiver Hines ward is. And all those other receivers named ( carter brown reed ) are better than Hines Too. They are prototypical number 1 receivers that were double teamed there whole life and still put up gaudy numbers. Hines was never that. D coordinators did not game plan for Hines. They game planned for plax, holmes, wallace not Hines.
You cant put him in cause he was a great blocker............

Hines will get in, eventually.. The WR waiting list is going to be crowded in the coming years. Faneca will get in before Hines though, and deserving so. He was pretty much the best player at his position for a decade and was one of four guards named to the NFL All-Decade team of the 2000s. Hines did not make that list, despite a decade of dominance himself. That list was voted on by the HOF selection committee.. Probably a pretty good indication of the pecking order for WRs getting inducted over the coming years.

The stats dont lie, ward is ranked higher in receiving yards and in touchdowns and in receptions as well, in fact Irvin is only ranked 26 in receiving yards and all the way down to 54th in touchdowns while Ward is 15th, Ward is ranked 14th in receptions, while Irvin is ranked 38, I said at the time irvin was selected to the HOF I had no idea why he was even inducted, plus irvin is a dumb ass....

This is 100% false. Now I realize you don't know what you're talking about. Where did you get that info anyway? Teams absolutely tried to contain Ward. Sure they all tried to contain the deep threats of Plax, holmes, wallace., etc b .. you saying they're all better than Ward to? interesting logic.
