I can see his point. Before Bledsoe went down, who had ever heard of Brady? Who had ever heard of Kurt Warner before he got his shot? Only time will tell whether this guy is any good. (Hope he takes after Warner rather than "Tommy the Cheater"

If only he could play Blake every week he would look like Tom Brady.

So, I'll give McCarron props. First of all, I think it's great that he has confidence and is stepping onto the field with the thought that he has an opportunity to be great. Better that than a lack of confidence. Secondly, he was not awful Sunday. Yes, our poor coverage helped him, but he made a lot of aggressive throws and for the most part had good timing with his receivers despite not getting practice reps. The guy has weapons to work with, and he had enormous, sustained success on the biggest stage in college football.

Quite frankly, I thought the Cinci offense looked as good -or better - with him in there Sunday as they did with Dalton at the helm a few weeks back.

There have been a lot more QBs in the same situation that Brady was in that didn't quite work out so well as Brady did........

Yup. Kinda galvanizes the training camp talk of McCarron possibly supplanting Dalton as the starter this year. It didn't happen of course, and how could it with the way their offense has played, but I think McCarron is far from a scrub QB like some of the other dudes currently playing now.
