Not if we get a olb that can come of the edge and light him up.

Good news: We got a pass rusher with a very high ceiling. A guy who should contribute right away.
Bad news: We have to hear about how the team neglects the CB position for at least another year.

Corner is VERY deep this year, and with Waynes and KJ gone the next several CBs grade similarly. However, Dupree is an absolute freak.

Brady had 328 yards and 4 TDs against Seattle's #1 pass defense.

If Brady is "licking his chops", selecting a 1st round corner wasn't going to stop him.

He can't throw from his back and if he has time it won't matter who is back there. This guy was the best available defender and he's a good guy and a great athlete.

We had 33 sacks last year - we need pressure.

Well it was either that or if we WOULD have taken a corner that didn't work out and THEN we would have got to hear about how we should have taken a pass rusher. LOL. 6 in one hand and all that...

I would NOT take any corner in this draft over Dupree. I would add a corner or two later to add potency to my edge rusher though.

I guess I'm as brainless as our Steelers.

Were not any CB's left worth a first in my opinion....and taking one just to take one makes no sense.

Drafting a corner number one means nothing if you don't have a pass rush to force a hurried throw.

With Johnson and Peters gone, the value wasn't there. Dupree will contribute right away. OLB is set. Now off to corner land. 2nd and 3rd.

Quite. I don't think Brady would be having sleepless nights thinking "how am I going to shape up against a rookie cornerback?"

The key to our defense isn't our CBs, it's our pass rush. Hopefully Dupree can fix that mess.
