I have come to the conclusion that the preseason is much needed by everyone especially our qb games like this show the lack of readiness by lack of reps and its us the fans that get the short end.if u notice the O-Line did descent cooners did great the D for the most was ok thats because they got reps.Ben played a half a quarter and deemed ready well yesterday showed that to be untrue we keep up this slow start crap until we start preparing the right in preseason i thought thats what it is for.

Brady and Rodgers played about 3 times as much as Ben did in preseason... and Patriots and Packers won with minimal turnovers.

So since Ben is 10x worse than Brady and Rodgers... he deserves less preseason reps than those guys?

Rodgers didn't get hardly any preseason snaps, and in the first half last night he was rusty, but he got hot in the second half and won the game..........

you can throw the cheating there all you want but fact is he gets the job done in their "System" better than anyone else.

Rodgers does not have brown/bell and still manages to score more points on average than Steelers. They do not have a defense which is why they do nothing in the playoffs. sound familiar?

There's no denying that there are several obvious QBs better than Roethlisberger at this point: Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, Brees.

I'm not saying that it's impossible to win another Super Bowl with Ben. Example: Elway clearly wasn't nearly as good in the late 90's when he was WINNING Super Bowls as he was in the late 80's when he was LOSING Super Bowls. Ben can follow Elway's path... don't try to do too much and quit trying to force throws. Ben will be fine... we just have to endure the typical "Steelers September."

Totally agree. Our offense starts humming when Ben takes what is there and doesn't try to make every play a touchdown no matter what. The offense is loaded. Ben does not need to be the hero. He needs to be a judicious distributor of the ball but he struggles to do that consistently.
