We seem to always suck the week after we play the Ravens. It's like we put everything into that game & have nothing left for the next week.

    2012-2013 Season
WEEK 11- Ravens @ Steelers. Ravens win 13-10 (Thanks contract)
WEEK 12- Steelers @ Browns. Browns win 20-14

WEEK 13- Steelers @ Ravens. -Batch's last game played- Steelers win 23-20
WEEK 14- Chargers @ Steelers. Chargers win 34-24

    2013-2014 Season
WEEK 7- Ravens @ Steelers. Steelers win 19-16
WEEK 8- Steelers @ Raiders. Raiders win 21-18

WEEK 13- Steelers @ Ravens. Ravens win 22-20
WEEK 14- Dolphins @ Steelers. Dolphins win 34-28

    This Season
WEEK 2- Steelers @ Ravens. Ravens win 26-6
WEEK 3- I was hoping this broke our post Raven curse- I GUESS NOT.
Steelers @ Panthers. Steelers win 37-19

I hate that we lost to those idiots Rex & Michael Vick. Not to mention after the Ravens won, Harbaugh was running his face about us getting our asses kicked today. It bothers me too because the NFL Network never takes us seriously- they've had to for the past 2 weeks. Now they have reason not to.
What really leaves a bad taste in my mouth:: Now the BROWNS are first in OUR division.

In his post game speech to his team he said after a tough Sunday night game the Ravens managed to win and the Steelers got their ass kicked. It was aired on CBS after the game.

btw in 2011 we got beat by the Ravens twice (week 1 & week 9) in the regular season and we bounced back after both losses ...

Week 2: We beat the Seahawks 23-0

Week 10: We beat the Bengals 24-17

And then we lost to Tim freaking Tebow in the playoffs ... but that has nothing to do with this thread. :frustrated:

The truth is that this team doesn't stay focused like it should. They need to show and prove Monday night, or I may have to start rethinking this team. A loss to the Titans will severely hinder their playoff chances given the schedule they face coming out of the bye week.

In sports we always hear the expression "Looking ahead" to explain a weak performance just before the "Really Big Game" against a rival. It appears however that the Steelers have perfected the "Looking back" syndrome, especially after they happen to win that "Really Big Game".

A loss to the Titans would make 10 wins a tough goal to accomplish.

Unfortunately, you might be right in the way you put it. Hopefully the loss to the Jets will wake them up.

As it is, I already think they need to sweep the Bengals. Although, I think the Browns will end up being a problem, for some reason. I think the Ravens will keep rolling, and the Bengals will become the Bungals, again. But the Browns are going to fight all the way. They smell blood in the water, and they are hungry.

If anything, I'm hoping this means that we'll get back to normal this week. The only problem is not knowing which is out normal. The Texans/Colts/Ravens? Or the ones before that?
The only thing that bothers me though. When people ask, "How can the players play so good one week, then play so bad the next? Maybe they were just worn out from playing the Ravens- and even though you can't use it as an excuse, it is a reason. But you can't say that about the coaches- or the offensive coordinator. Really- how can Haley call such great plays at the perfect times in one game and such awful plays at the worst times in the next game? He needs to be even more consistent than the players.
