AFC Playoff Race

See my issue with the so be it attitude is what I think the main problem is with this organization. How many years of so be it do we just sit around and scratch our heads and think things will just change? They are not changing it’s the same crap year after year. Something major needs to be done I’m sick of the well on to next year mentality. Guess what if we have the same leadership and decision makers next year will be more of the same.

Im not singling you out Metal I enjoy your posts and think you have a good middle of the road take on things. I also know we can’t do **** as fans and have to hope things just magically get better. I’m just so frustrated with this team/organization.

 

I agree the injuries hurt the D and we need them to carry us but come on this offense is historically terrible. We were never making a SB run with that awful a unit regardless of being completely healthy.

 

Well at the moment we are 6 spot and Indy 7. I get it, we would suck in the Playoffs but I still want to get in. If we can somehow win today and gain a little confidence I think we could come home and beat Bengals.

 

We all want things to get better. Many of us might agree with you more than we disagree. I just have a different approach to life and this is no different. I'm as passionate about this team as the next guy but I simply find nothing constructive about the incessant ranting all the time. As you said, none of us can do a damn thing about it so the constant bickering is a ridiculous waste of energy.
I choose not to carry around negative energy in my daily life so it stands to reason that I don't bring negative energy here. Or at least try not to. We're just different dudes and that's cool.

The D has been riddled in every department, despite that for the most part they did the job needed to keep us in, on in a few cases even put us in the win column. Is there still work to do, of course, but at least there is hope, some good young talent, and you can see that the issues can be fixed.

The O is another matter. There is talent, but in three years trying to fix this line they seem to go backward. The ability to draft and develop WR so many talk about a mirror into the past. For the talent they have, it just does not show on the field. Not blaming them totally, the system sucks, and perhaps attitudes and emotions are are stretched and everything is coming out. Ultimately it starts at the top, from owner and GM, to HC the the rest. Art we really do not know because he moves at a slow pace, Omar I think tried and actually did a good job filling some of the holes in FA and draft, right now with Canada gone the focus is on MT and rightfullly so. I can;t say what is going to happen from his or anyones perspective, but going game to game and thinking just because something 'good' happens over s short time, and then making a long term decision is stupid. I don't care if they make the playoffs, hell if they win the division. One cannot seriously look at this crapshow over the last several years, and ues even deacde and say his ship has sailed.

 

If the Steelers record puts them within the top 7 teams of the AFC standings at the end of the regular season, they are deserving

I understand why people are saying we don't deserve but the rule states be in the top 7 of the 16 teams and you made it. If we were not deserving what does that say about the other 9 teams?
