AFC Playoff Race

Everyone who insists they don't want the Steelers to make the playoffs should look at what is happening in the AFC. The Chiefs just fell to 8-5 and are struggling to score points. The Dolphins are tied with the Titans in the third quarter. I know Hill is hurt, but that shows how vulnerable they could be. The Steelers beat the Ravens, who are no better now than they were then. There are plenty of good teams, but there is no overwhelming powerhouse. Sure, the 49ers might curb-stomp anybody they get in the Super Bowl, but it just makes what injuries did to the Steelers' defense that much more frustrating.

You mean to tell me the Steelers aren't the only team to lose to a team with a losing record at home .

 

We are in a fight for the last playoff spot now. Crazy how low are odds are now of getting in.

1) We need to beat Indy
2) Houston needs to lose to Tennessee (doable since its in Tennessee and Stroud hasn't practiced all week. Will know today if he's in or out for that game).
3) Denver needs to lose in Detroit.

A huge bonus would be Buffalo losing to Dallas, but it's in Buffalo so not counting on it.

Goofy comment as there is zero chance of that happening. If you don't want scenarios, don't start a playoff thread.

 

Browns have a good chance to win the AFC and face the 49ers in the Super Bowl. Chiefs are the only other team that has any chance.... Broncos, Bills, Dolphins, Ravens and Jaguars will fold like a cheap tent. Joe freaking Flacco just has to manage the game and Browns D will do the dirty work. It makes me want to puke, but it's the truth.

PS: Steelers are done. Let's start talking draft and free agency.

 

They have a good chance to make it to the divisional round but I can't imagine Flacco taking the team further than that. I would absolutely love though to see Flacco knock Lamar Jackson and the Rats out of the playoffs.

 

Unfortunately, Browns Defense and Flacco experience may take them to Super Bowl.

 

Yes...Flacco beating LJ would be hilarious, watching Ravens fans squirm and justify.

 

The Browns won't get beyond us in the playoffs.

 

The chances of Steelers making the playoffs is about the same as a solar eclipse tomorrow over North America. Not gonna happen.

 

I'm already rooting for the Steelers to make the playoffs by default. You know, because I'm a fan and all. Knowing how many people around here who will be genuinely disappointed by it, only makes it that much better if it happens.

 

Do the Steelers deserve to make the playoffs? I don't think so.

 

If they somehow get in, they deserve it. If not, they don't. It is rarely more complicated than that.

 

How will they win a playoff game? That is the question. The Brister Steelers of '89 somehow beat the Oilers, but I don't see a Hoge....Woodson, Dawson...players of that caliber besides Watt.

 

Well, if they win out, then I would say yes. If they sh!t the bed, which is likely, so be it.

 

I don't know if they can win a playoff game. If the defense had been healthy, they would have had a real shot. As it is, probably not.

 

Colts will win tomorrow. Tomlin has lost the team. DJ, Pickens and Muth will half-ass it....and make Trubisky the scapegoat. Better hope Harris and Warren have a good game.

 

It is certainly possible that Tomlin has lost the team. I've seen his teams rebound from ugly losses before, so I wouldn't be that certain.

The Steelers off n system makes it improbable they win enough games to simply get into the PO let alone bear a playoff team
