Still think it’s too much risk. If Lamar went down in that meaningless game Harbaugh would be roasted. That being said I highly doubt we go into Seattle and win especially if it’s a rusty KP.

The sad part is that Baltimore has a clear path while again were grabbing at straws. They do have to play Miami on the 31st. If Miami wins then expect no one to be sitting when they play us.

And the clowns are sitting pretty well at this point.

A lot has to happen to even think this team will get close to the playoffs.

But this yin yang team is not playoff worthy. Just my opinion.

so, first and foremost is that we have to win the next 2 - highly unlikely with what we have watched the last month. the D is a shell. and the O is clearly Jekyll and Hyde. If we somehow beat the SeaHags, the Rats will want to beat us, BUT - if they beat the Fish, they will own the first seed - and can take it easy - except that Harbs will want kick our tails and he won't want his team to sit idle for 2 straight weeks. Lamar is on track for MVP, you all know that?

our odds to grab that #7 seed has to be less than 20%......

Not a lot of great past history in Seattle.

Steelers are 1-7 there all time.

Haven't won a game in Seattle since 1983.

For anyone keeping track 2 years before I was born.

I'd rather play their best. Give me the best.

The steelers were also 0-11 against the rams in Los Angeles in their history before this year!

They also face the seahawks in Seattle only once since 2004

It wouldn't shock me to see the Steelers win.

Biggest problem will be our banged up secondary going against DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxson Smith-Nijgba
    Good WR's

Best thing we can do is get pressure on Geno Smith and make it miserable.

Gonna need an outing from TJ and Highsmith

Well, they will be playoff worthy if their record says they are. They have to win the next 2 games though

    Agreed and agreed.

Agreed about Lamar. They have history to say play him this time but it's against us. Since he has struggled playing the Steelers they may not risk it if it happens.

Agreed on the Steelers winning. Yes, I am being pessimistic but I read earlier the Steelers are 1-7 when playing out there and that one win was in 1983. I want them to win but until history doesn't repeat itself, pessimism lives.

Edit: Just saw someone above me stated the same thing about Seattle. Sorry bud.

I think the odds of us getting in are pretty slim. All of which is the result of not taking care of business against Cleveland, Indy, and Houston. All of whom are in the hunt and above us in standings.

We might lose to Seattle, but it won’t be because of what happened over the last 40 years. I would only put weight on that stat if it was a division opponent that we played regularly every year (and still had a very lopsided record).

Of course I hope for magic but even if we are out of it I'm pumped to follow the Playoffs this year especially the AFC. One thing I am sure of is I'll be in the minority on this board with who I'm pulling for.

Other than seeing the Steelers get in, I most want to see Joe Flacco beat the Ravens in Baltimore to knock the Rats out of the playoffs.

Must admit I'm on the Browns wagon for the moment. Never was a fan of Flacco and enjoyed his failures for Steeler reasons. I wish he had Chubb in the back field.

Little funny story about Flacco's parents. They had a home in pricy area of my community. Their mailman is the only Bengal fan I know. He would put Bengal stickers on their door as a joke. I told him they are probably laughing at you for putting a team they are better then, you want to upset them put one of my Steeler stickers. This was about 10 years ago. No idea if they still live there.

Goofy comment. I didn't start a playoff thread.

And thanks for missing the sarcasm. Didn't realize the green font was a requirement.

You have a point, but more so losing (embarrassed) to 3 teams with losing records, 2 at home. Even with the losses to those other teams, we still had our own path to the playoffs, now as usual we sit waiting for others to lose.

I've said in other threads I want Flacco and the Browns to eliminate the Ravens from the playoffs.

Now, as it stands, my ultimate goal is for the 49ers, Cowboys, and Chiefs to all be eliminated in their first game. Seeing the Ravens eliminated by Flacco would just be funny.
