Interesting, we added the below to the practice squad today. I love Ben Skowronek and Brandon Johnson being added. I also like the Boston Scott addition.

    RB Boston Scott
    WR Brandon Johnson
    WR Ben Skowronek
    WR Quez Watkins
    OL John Leglue
    OL Doug Nester
    LB Devin Harper
    LB Adetokunbo Ogundeji

I don't get why they didn't keep Dez Fitzpatrick and put him on the practice squad, instead of bringing in these new guys.

I'm right there with you on Fitzpatrick, that's a head scratcher for me too.

He must have been in Tomlin's permanent doghouse for some reason

My son graduated with Devin Harper and played MS and HS together. He's a good kid.

There is a two tiered pay structure for practice squad players. Since he jumps to a higher pay level this season, it may have been a simple business decision. It’s the law of the Serengeti, an animal that is a step slower either doesn’t eat or is eaten. If they believe someone else can do the job cheaper and about as good, a player is gone.

I did not know LeGlue was with the Steelers. Think he will stick?

It's not always up to the team.

This..the QB they used in different places the Steelers wanted to keep on PS, he went to the Jags. The article said they made him a better offer, which I'm not sure about, the PS pay is set by the league, maybe a small bonus, who knows. that said, being closer to home, or a better opportunity, players choice. Read an article a few years back, these guys make decent change, but it's not an easy life. You can get jacked around the league at a moment's notice. All part of the dream, but not the best experience.

Unless a rash of injuries and someone else grabs him, his experience as a swing T alone makes him valuable to the Steelers right now. Even if he is a revolving door, ya gotta have a body, lol.

He’d better stick. He’s the (Le)glue that holds our line together.

The coaches also thought Trubisky could play QB, how did that work out ?

Agreed, but they see way more than we see of the players

It has worked out pretty well since he's the only player to lead the league in sacks three times, and should be a three time DPOY.

    Glue?

    The organization only uses tape.

Here's one coach seeing way more
