Thielen doesn't say the crying didn't happen. He says HE didn't see it, and he doesn't know otherwise. That is NOT denying that the crying happened. Is it so hard to believe that some guys on the team really loved Tomlin and were saddened at his departure?

It's also a BS headline. Thielen doesn't say the media lied about anything.

The link is on Yahoo, which is a red flag in itself. Not always, but most of their articles point to drama-inducing clickbait from drama-inducing websites. I go to Yahoo to look for what I call my 'Article of the day' for entertainment.

My all-time favorite. A woman was attacked and killed by a bunch of Dachshund dogs (True story). Yahoo's link to the article was titled "Women killed by a pack of hot dogs" with a thumbnail picture of a pack of Oscar-Meyer weiners.

I'm not really surprised at all most of the players weren't upset that Tomlin quit. I think it is becoming public knowledge that Tomlin wasn't a good leader or mentor to these young men.

Im sure most knew Tomlin was thinking of calling it quits. They could tell by being around him, the nature of conversations between him and the players…etc. i doubt even a few were really shocked.

 

I wasn't in the locker room so I can only go by the reports I read online and in podcasts etc. Why does it really matter? He's gone.

‘I haven’t been a fan of Tomlins the last five years but I certainly wouldn’t dispute Tomlins popularity among his players. Thielen was barel\y here I certainly wouldn’t put much weight on his viewpoint.

 

At the end of the day, it is auditorium style seating. Everyone is facing forward to the speaker (Tomlin).

It would be difficult for anyone in the audience to say what everyone’s reaction was.
