I don't think it will happen but if Heyward misses week 1 because of his contract many will be angry more than ever at Heyward!

 

If he doesn’t play they should immediately remove the C from his jersey. Why do these players think that making millions of dollars is some sort of difficult life?

 

Saying things like this seems like a good way to become a 'not insider'..... Or, maybe he's the chief disinformation officer on the sly.....

Ha! That's been my weekend in nutshell.

 

I couldn’t imagine my boss asking if I am coming to work on Tuesday and I had said, “we’ll see”. I would be shown the door so quick my head would spin. It would be a bad conversation to have with my wife as well to why I no longer have a job. If this is your captain then that ship is already taking on water. Good grief. Iron Head is probably rolling in his grave. This guys net worth is between 50-60 million dollars while earning over 150 million over 14 seasons. I guess he and his wife have a huge spending problem. This 36 year old is way out of touch with reality. Rip that C from his jersey. He’s no leader. Just trying to cash in. Probably should be benched and then traded. At his age though we’d probably only get a 6th or 7th round pick as compensation. Ugh. What a disappointment and distraction going into week one. He probably steals half of Connor’s money.

 

I think he make more money that Crosby in the NHL in his career!

BRILLIANT!!!!

 

Crosby takes very good team friendly deals for how elite he really is. He could have went to so many others by now and made twice the money.

 

Really not worried about this whatsoever. The Steelers have been preparing for life without Heyward for a couple of years now. This will just speed it up by a season or two.
