He would be best if he retired imho. This injury and surgery is very serious. The surgery he had required vertebrae to be fused together, and depending on his condition could have lost the mobility to his neck. I guess it will be a wait and see but you have to wonder how dangerous it would be for him to continue his career and what could happen to him if he reinjured it again.

If the Doctors did as you say, I think he will retire. This means of course the Steelers won't get any comp pick for Jones.

I think this boat left while you were still buying a hot dog on the dock

If he’s the best we have then play him but just sitting back and being satisfied with his mediocrity is a turkey dog not all beef

If they can improve at the position then do so

But playing him just because you didn’t try to improve is a bone head move

They didn’t hand the jets to Mason after 4 okie dokie games and they won’t/shouldn’t do so with cook

Ok, dont know how you went down this weird rabbit hole but if you go back to my OP I said I wonder if they will roll with Cook until Jones is ready.

Unless reports are true and Jones injury is much worse than feared, it would be stupid to waste a draft pick on a LT when we have a capable tackle that can fill in until Jones is ready.

I think you and I have a different opinion on how bad a broken neck is

    Now you are babbling

    It’s a as broken neck

Going well means he can walk and isn’t paralyzed

People with broken necks should not be playing football they should be talking to Ryan Shazier and counting their blessings

Now you are calling Schefter clickbait

Now I don’t believe what you told me about him being a reliable source

And don’t make me necropost you know I can do it :smiley1:

    I would agree.

Spinal Fusion Surgery isn't something that can be toyed with. Omar Khan can play as much lip service as he wants. Within that same vein, I am no fan of Adam Schefter either.

As I said, Thursday will tell me a lot. Even if the choice isn't an OT on Thursday, should the Steelers nab one on Day 2, that will all but confirm it.

We had three guys who are essentially LT’s. We needed a RT anyway
