Haven't seen it mentioned, might have missed it, but how do you rate his play? I'm no Oline kinda guy, but he didn't get blasted for whiffing on blocks, and I didn't think he played as god awful as I thought he would when he came in. So, possible start at Oakland?

Am I missing something with the nickname "Abdullah"? And yeah, in preseason he was a turnstyle but his play this past weekend has been praised by many on the board (including myself) in other threads. He played well above everyone's expectations. So yeah, I think a start in Oakland is a very good possibility. They might go with Gilbert if he is fully healed but if there are any doubts, Guy is your guy *pun intended*.

Abdullah the Butcher is one of the greatest hardcore wrestlers of all time and he used to scare me to death as a kid. His battles with Cactus Jack are absolutely epic! ESPECIALLY the japanese stuff!

Ahem, yeah I mentioned it in the o line thread earlier. Coach gave him the title and apparently his boy refers to himself as Abdullah's son. That's cool... Whatever they want to call him, doesn't matter to me. Just glad he played a heckuva lot better than we were all lead to believe he was capable of.

That's cool. My favorite wrestler of all time is probably Bret Hart in WWF and EASILY Sting in WCW. I mean blonde haired Sting that beat Ric Flair at the Great American Bash in Baltimore for his first title in July of 1990 when I was 8 which is one of the greatest moments of my childhood. Sting actually talked to me during a match one time. I was on the front row of the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville and he threw "Stunning" Steve Austin against the rail and I had to lift my hand to keep him from hitting me and Sting walked over and looked at me and said "We're having fun now aren't we!?" and dude I literally almost started crying and still as I tell this I get chills. That was his catchphrase and I had a WCW belt that I played with all the time with his voice in it and he said that. It was just so awesome. I wear an Ultimate Warrior shirt quite frequently as well. That late 80s early 90s period was the greatest in wrestling history.

Yeah it was fun to watch Goldberg on his "Who's next?" streak. Raven was somebody I really liked in WCW during that era.

I agree dob, if Abdullah the butcher:butcher: keeps playing like last week, he will be hard to take out of the game. time will tell but I like the bad attitude these guys brought to the field. very cool seeing a little mean out of our O-Line. maybe we can get the butcher to chew on the training table corners in between series. LOL:cool:
