I want the 2 years of remaining bonus value back before he goes anywhere. Don’t reward bad behavior.

It seems like the longer they keep Brown the more trade value he loses.

Yeah, but if AB acts like more of an idiot between now and then it could complicate a trade deal?

    No, he’s just a bi-polar hot-headed a**hole.

Not the first (or second) time he’s lost his cool.

It’s only a matter of time before he assaults someone.

I think...He is so effed up ( stay with me here ) That this is all calculated by him..He knows he screwed up big time and is trying to save face, again, in his effed up mind...So keep screwing up more so basically the Steelers would get nothing close to equal value for him...

He WANTS to come back but his pride and childish persona dictates that the Steelers won't get close to equal value trading him...So instead of the STEELERS determining where he will go ( quite possibly ) to a team with a crappy QB...

All this outlandish behavior will land him back at Pittsburgh...With a good QB, and offense..He will straighten up a little ( but would never admit it ) Ben and others will now be " kinder" to him, as to not offend the lil drama Queen any more...

This will all get him what he WANTED all along...TO STAY...But to not be " picked on " or hollered at...He has never cared about his teammates, Organization, or rings as long as he gets " HIS "...

He comes back...Ben , JuJu, Conner et al are extra nicey nice...He does what he does ( plays great ) and the Steelers put up with his BS, at a reduced level...Instead of getting not near value " talent wise " in return...

Yay or Nay...Or am I really reaching lol

AB to his agent : " I ****ed up, I dont want to be traded, but I'm a baby and don't want to admit I was wrong, what can I do " ?

Agent: " You got this, Just keep acting like a Dick...No team will give up **** for you, you come back and get your 100 catches, 1,500 yds. 15 TD's...So you can continue your individual goals"!

Agent: " The media will now praise you for mending fences and being the bigger person for patching it up and coming back "
AB: " GENIUS! " Hold my blunt, I got this "!

I’m not happy with him at all,but I’ll still root for him if he and the Steelers patch things up.
    Bell is another story.

If he just humbled himself a bit and apologized pretty much all of Steeler nation would welcome him back.

His problem is his ego and pride. Not to say others can't do the same to work things out but right now it starts with him working to re-establish the relationship.

Posting a twitter trying to figure out what fans still support him is not the way.

I'm not seeing a lot of interest from teams besides the 49ers. Why do I have this sick feeling in my stomach AB is going to land in NE? They have 12 picks coming up and cap space, they desperately need a real WR. I know we can't be that dumb but... man I just get this feeling one way or another he ends up there. They win a SB, AB goes off on social media mocking us etc.

No, that isn't what I what I said and you aren't dumb enough to get my point that wrong unless you are doing so on purpose. Please be more honest when you post. Thank you.

The type of trouble matters. The level of trouble absolutely matters.

It isn't that shocking for a player to challenge authority. That you think that isn't the case makes me question your level of knowledge on this topic. The issue here is that it became public and it led to the player missing a game. Despite all the whining on this board, Brown is not currently violating any rules by being out of contact with the team. He's not demanding a trade. He's acting like a jackass.

You say the team needs to send a message, but it needs to be the right message. If the Steelers trade Brown, especially if they don't get fair value for him, the message is that star players should just act like jackasses and the Steelers will cave in and give them exactly what they want. You may think that is a good message to send, but it really isn't.

More than anything, that is why they shouldn't trade him. I don't understand why this concept is so difficult for so many on this board. If the Steelers trade Brown, they are rewarding him and hurting the team.

I don’t think everyone looks at all variables in the equation.

Personally, if there is not an outstanding trade offer I’d play hardball with him. Require him to show up, show up in time, and be treated like a rookie. Treat him like a child. If he wants playing time, earn it back. If he’s late or out of line, fine him as the contract allows. If he throws tantrums. Make him sit in the corner per se. If he thinks he can play hard ball with Art Rooney, let him try.
