I'm not worried about the Bengals, they will have a first time HC, and they still have Dalton as QB . The Browns will be a tougher opponent in the future.

You tried to use that one game as evidence of his lack of productivity. It isn't. It's evidence that he is a jackass.

They had strengths in areas where the Steelers are weak. You would be turning the greatest strength of the team, the starting tandem at wide receiver, into a position with serious questions marks. Smith-Schuster still has to show he can be a true No. 1. He isn't used like one by the Steelers and he certainly isn't covered like ones by opposing defenses, which focus more on Brown.

The last 2 sb winners also had far better head coaches and defenses than we had respectively. They also didnt have a finger pointing leader of the franchise.

Not even close. That's what you did. You responded to a post about Brown's productivity with a snide comment about his production against the Bengals.

I hate when I agree with Smith, but he's absolutely right. I know it's an ugly situation, but it is absolutely absurd that the Steelers are considering hurting their team by trading Brown when it will be such a huge cap hit and it doesn't appear as if they are going to get fair value. Fair value would be a first-round pick and another draft pick, a first-round pick and a solid player or a star player like Patrick Peterson. The Steelers should not be so worried about their reputation that they screw up the team on the field that badly. It would not only mean losing one of the top receivers in the game and by far the best receiver on the team in terms of creating separation from defenders. It would also mean most likely not being able to add any quality free agents due to the cap hit.

If Mike Tomlin can't make this work, he needs to go.

I do understand your desire to play it that way. Your argument was foolish and easily dismissed with Brown's statistics from this season.

That's part of the problem. My concern is that they are pushing so hard to trade him that they won't get fair value. To lose arguably the best player on that offense for a second-round pick and take a huge cap hit would be pretty much a disaster. That is why the Steelers have to be open to letting Brown return.

I think the media & Steelers fans are pushing the trade hard, the Rooneys just want him to come in so they can better understand what AB wants & ask him wtf?

We'll be lucky to get a 1st at all. There's zero chance we get a top 10 pick. Plenty of rumors out there that the market is a late 1st or 2 2nd's.

    It won't be a top 10 pick.

A medium-range first-round pick and a couple seconds would be OK but sucks when he's a top-tier receiver. lol
