So AB said he's going to honor Dan Rooney this season. 84 years of life, #84. I was thinking maybe when he scores he could do his call god gesture then point to the sky and get off the field.

We all know his celebrations have got him fined and some fans are really just not a fan of it. He's got his huge pay day, he doesn't need the attention anymore. Plus, every time he scores it will have the announcers talking about it and Dan Rooney. The thought of him dedicating the season to Dan Rooney then doing the doo doo brown just doesn't sit well.

I know it's wishful thinking but what do you guys think?

If that is his choice then so be it.

I would not have an issue with him honoring Dan. Just so as long as he is comfortable doing so.

Certainly a kind gesture. Please don't do it at the expense of the rest if the team.

Not worried about it. He drew 2 penalties and stopped. 3 if you count when Bell came over and drew a flag.

AB was really fond of Dan Rooney, its a nice gesture.

If any Steeler player wants to honor Dan Rooney, go out and win the Super Bowl.

I think the best way to honor Dan with a TD celebration would be to celebrate the way Dan probably would have: just hand the football to the official and shake your teammates' hands heading off the field. No showboating.

Yeah, I definitely don't see showboating as honoring Mr. Rooney. It'll be interesting to see what AB has in mind.

I thought he just meant honoring him with his play on the field, trying to have the best season he's ever had. That sort of thing.

I don't think it has anything to do with cleats or celebrations.

    His jersey represents DR's age.
