It is good to get this out there before the season starts so he does not get tossed during a game that counts.

Let's address the source... One, I feel that joint practices are counter productive. Anytime, that you have coaches and officials emphasizing on no fights ...you pretty much know already what's going to happen. Speaking of officials...they really need a camp of their own ...that is supervised and video taped. Because, they have been screwing up consistently the past 3 yrs. AB challenged a call...and you get all sensitive...I'm gonna tell on you....really?! 11 yrs in the league and a scrimmage outburst got you all upset...wow

What happened to days when the refs where more accurate even without instant replay. They can't even get critical calls correct with instant replay. They wont even toss a guy that is clearly committing several unsportsmanlike fouls. This is a scrimmage and your feelings get hurt? This is laughable.
Answer me this...why does the steelers always have to take the high road? Before the first joint practice ...everyone was hoping that we have scrimmage without any fights...but interestingly, the lions player in an interview stated...I hope to get some good work in and learn more about the question marks on their team...but here is the comment that made me raise my eyebrow even when I read it.... But we're not going to let them push us around either. They were the ones rough housing it with gang tackling and trash talking

I'm with you. We as a society seem to have lost the basic principle respect and replaced it with PC.... Brown does seem to be becoming more of a premadonna, like a spoiled brat. It was practice man!! Practice !!

Those days are long gone my friend. Heck, what happened to the days when coaches were off limits? When Reggie Nelson shoved Munchak on the sideline last year I think my grandfather rolled over in his grave.

I don't know if I feel AB is becoming a prima donna. I think he has a phenomenal work ethic, he's outplayed his contract, he keeps his stuff together off the field, and he is great with the fans.

I do, however, have concerns he won't re-sign with us for a few reasons (I could see him winding up in LA, Miami, or Seattle):
    1) He likes to spend his off-season in LA and also has a home in Florida. I think he would prefer to be in a bigger market where he could enhance his brand in a more stylish environment. He loves the spotlight.
    2) Ben's window is closing. 3-5 more years, maybe (or one more ringing of his bell)? You saw how badly AB's production dipped when Ben was out last season. That wasn't lost on a visibly frustrated AB. With young guns like Goff, Tannehill, and Russ Wilson on the coasts, AB could be hitting his prime as one of those guys are hitting their peak.
3.) His agent: Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus is notorious for stirring up problems between client and team. I'm afraid Rosenhaus is telling AB to just put it all out there this year and follow the money after his contract is up. I'm hoping the Steelers step up and extend AB sooner than later. I know it's not the modus operandi, but it's eventually going to need to be done and I'd rather it get done now.

AB would argue if he thought a ref took one inch away from him on a play. That kind of drive to be the best is often villified under different perceptions, but its just his work ethic.

I agree, and I know Browns competitiveness can reach boiling point but he's good about checking himself. As I e said in the LB threads before and others as well, a lot of these guys have problems with basically being told what they can't do. They don't admit mistakes and they pull the blame card almost everytime. It's just out there now. Every race, every creed... It's the age of entitlement.

I facepalmed over it then... doubly so now.

Even worse.. I hear that it is now being currently implemented in the NCAA and soon in High School Football.

.. people do realize that this is the type of person Antonio Brown is. Not the player. The person.

The coaches I played for wouldn't have stood for it, we would be sitting on the bench if we argued with the refs.Plain & simple.

You all do realize this official is the same official we will see during the season. He's been an official for 11 years. SO be prepared for retaliation.

I've always taught my kids that you never argue with an official no matter what. For kids this is true.

The NFL is a business and it goes both ways. The nfl is not little league. The officials also don't act like professionals like I saw when I was a kid. When do you remember officials popping off and retaliating? You see it in MLB, NBA, and the NFL all of the time. It is not uncommon for officials to take over games anymore. You see officials insight confrontation. They aren't just calling games they are a part of the game. They look the other way when Ben gets crushed after passes all of the time. These guys are pros also...they see almost everything. You can bet this guy will retaliate during the season for what ever Brown said. Word gets around and other officials will back their own. Brown better shut his mouth and apologize if he wants calls when it counts. This isn't amateur sports. This is egos fighting to showcase them selves and make $. That official popping off about what ever Brown said isn't a guy that's just going to forgive and forget. He's going to send a message.

So, what's the big deal? Marsha Brady bitches about flags not being thrown all the time, and that's in regular season games. And then the League makes rules up to protect him. In my opinion, this is a non-issue and the referee needs to take off his skirt. *shrugs*
