Just in case you are thinking he is some mastermind let me repeat this

"they just took the money that I made in the NFL, and they didn’t make the money mines no more,”"

Given Ochocinco's odd confession with Stephen A. Smith, they might make more money doing something on a website that's... only.... for fans. ;)

Yet he has a Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan. I wonder who did the work for him.

Weather has been too warm at my local resort. I hate skiing in 50 degree weather, powder melts and it gets icy. I may have to watch the Super Bowl.

Same here I was 21 when my dad told me to start investing a certain percentage of my paycheck. I was fully retired at age 55. My dad taught me early on to make your money work for you.

This was always going to be his outcome, and it was so easy to see it coming. I hope for his sake that he is able to turn his platform on X into a good money making venture for him, but social media fame is even more fleeting than success in the NFL.

Some guys just see that much money and think that they couldn't possibly spend it all. They just assume they will always be famous, and that someone will always be paying them to do something because they are important. However, the case is for most NFL players after they retire is that no one cares anymore. They have to find income in ways that they've never had to before (their whole lives came easy to them, growing up, college, NFL, etc.), and its not as easy as it looks/sounds. These kids come from nothing, get paid more money than they've ever seen in their lives, then have no idea what to do about it.

Its sad really. The NFL is so interested in lining its own pockets that they completely neglect things that help the very players that make them the money. They won't invest money in training and hiring competent officiating, they push more games in a season while undermining player health and safety, and pretty blatantly sculpt in season narratives and outcomes to benefit their pocket books. Instead they can train actual decent officiating, invest in player pensions that help pay for the long term repercussions that being a professional football player entails (health concers, CTE, counseling, etc.), and maybe even invest in a financial investment program for the players so that so many of them don't crash out and squander their fortunes within 5 years of leaving the league. This isn't a new thing to happen, but the NFL just doesn't care anymore after you take the jersey (that has their shield on it) off and go out to the real world again.

I'm migrating north later this week and I was hoping for a couple of runs downhill in NC to close out the season.

And it only took him 16 years to graduate including an online English course in technical writing. Based on his inability to use English it tells me a lot about English teachers.

Antonio Brown is the CTE poster child, sadly.
