Why not hate Colbert who signed him? Or Rooney who paid him? Instead you just hate the coach who coached him. Makes no sense.

I would think Pittsburgh sport fans can't wait to get this started. Maybe wipe away the shame of the Pens and Pirates.

For me winning a WC game would not make me satisfied with season. And if Rodgers did get it done he'd probably be gone the next season. Pretty sure Houston Texans fans are not walking around all excited about winning a WC game 2 years in a row.

Be a cool story for the NFL if the miracle happened. My computer savvy nephews made a paper dated Feb. 9th, 2026 with the headline, "Aaron Rodgers becomes first QB to win a SB with a team he beat in the SB." I knew I should have never mentioned to them;)

What would be so bad about having to root for Jackson? Sure, he would be frustrating with the inconsistency and killer turnovers mixed in with the huge production, but he doesn't strike me as a bad guy.

Rodgers, on the other hand, is an *******. Not as bad as Vick, but an *******.

The general belief at the time was that it was Tomlin who really wanted Vick. That doesn't completely absolve Rooney or Colbert of any responsibility, but I can see why people would blame Tomlin.

I will root for Rodgers if he is wearing a Steelers uniform

The only Steelers player I ever booed was Vick

I’m actually looking forward to the circus Rodgers will bring and particularly what he will bring to this board

Otherwise it would have been 12 more months of the trolls repeating the same thing 183 times with zero original thought

When I studied the extent of Vick's dog cruelty charge it was ghastly. He should have spent at least 10 years in prison and been banned for life from the NFL .

I get that and I feel the same way about Vick. I don't care about the work he did with PETA or any of the other crap he did to try to rehabilitate his image. I don't care about the excuses he made, blaming his upbringing. He engaged in vile acts of cruelty against dogs. I was disgusted when the Steelers signed him and that is a big negative mark on Tomlin's career.

If I could manage all those years rooting for Roethlisberger after the crap he pulled, I can deal with one year of Rodgers.

    1. I would like to win a SB
    2. I hate that style of Qb play.
    3. He's a Raven
    4. I hate that style of Qb play.
He probably is a great guy outside of football, but unlike a lot of You, I don't care, I'm never hanging with any of them , and will only see them on the field.
So outside of them murdering people, I don't care.

Where we differ is I don't care if a player had been a Raven once he becomes a Steeler. I was very happy the Steelers got Patrick Queen. I wanted them to get Kyle Juszczyk, who once played for the Ravens. If they could somehow get Kyle Hamilton, I'd have no problem rooting for him. The same is true of Jackson.

Those guys are different. They haven't been playing for a team for 8 years.
I know people forget since some think Lamar is awesome, but this is like his 8th year, and again I like the way the others play, I don't like that style of Qb play.

I'm against that style of QB play also. Always believed you need a pure passer. Hurts makes it work, sadly for me. I think Hurts has a better football IQ then Jackson.
