I agree that Pickett was in a awful situation but he had also 24 starts with us vs only 6 for Fields. The ceilling of Fields is way higher too

This is also true that if Pickett and Fields look good this year,it will be a awful look for Tomlin

But after the season Art ll said their plan was to re-sign either Wilson or Fields, then they didn't want to pay Fields and didn't even offer Wilson. Make it make sense .

Fields wasn't signed to be the starter in Pittsburgh; he played better with the Steelers than he did with the Bears. If he succeeds with the Jets then good for him.

The Bears had one of the most clueless head coaches in NFL history and his OC were not much better...Both were fired last year during the season...They were that bad,so I don't put huge stock at what Fields did in Chicago

If Fields has success with the Jets, it will mean that Tomlin's decision to go with a washed Wilson was even more stupid.

Fields only started because of injury Wilson was always going to get his chance to start, the offense only averaged 17 PPG with Fields the results would've been the same or worse.

The Steelers had a very conservative offense with Fields... A little too conservative, but Tomlin loves low-scoring games like crazy and hates the high-scoring games. He even admit that for the high scoring game

Tomlin also said before training camp that there was a QB competition between Fields and Wilson but Tomlin doesn't know nothing about QBs, since he kept Trubisky for way too long for 2 seasons in a row and he even got another start after losing to two 2-10 teams in 5 days at home

Because they don't want to give their plans away. If they could have gotten either for what they thought was a far price, or the price they thought they were worth , they would have pursued it, but they didn't. They aren't going to tell the other 31 teams exactly what they will, or will not do. That's not good business.

Fields must be related to you, because You give him more excuses than a MF.
I can hear it this year....well....well it the Jets. LoL
The reality of the situation is.....He isn't very good.

It don't mean much when you said this....You said last year that I was a Lamar Jackson or ravens fan when I defended him last year because you said a running QB (QB with 100 or more runs) couldn't win a Super Bowl.:roflmao:

But your argument was exposed like crazy in the 2024 season, with three of the four QBs in the title game with 100 or more runs, including Jalen Hurts, the Super Bowl champion.... Sometimes you have to admit when you're wrong.

    LoL
    Wow I was exposed. LoL
If 70% of the Qbs are women....eventually they will go to a SB. That's the reality of the situation.
I can't wait to hear Your excuse for Fields, poor Fields, never had a good team, good coach's, poor millionaire Fields.
He seems like a good kid, but everything I seen of him in Pittsburgh, I seen in Chicago, and yet He had a different team, and different coaching.....Yet he had the exact same problems.....that leaves you with one culprit....Fields.

But this is not the case...Only 4 QB had 100 or more runs in the NFL last year(Daniels,Lamar,Allen and Hurts) and 3 of those was in the title game and the other lost in the divisional round against Allen

Your criteria last year for the running QBs was those with 100 or more runs, so that's only 12.5% of the league's starters who were running QBs by your criteria, not your desperate attempt with your 70%.The league has evolved, that's a fact... Just admit you were wrong for once.

To be fair, Fields also had three years as a starter in Chicago before those six games in Pittsburgh and failed badly enough for the Bears to give up on him. Pickett hadn't already failed elsewhere.

They should have pulled the plug on this nonsense weeks ago. If this latest rumor is true, it is yet another reason to tell Rogers to move on with his life's work.

    If this
    If that

    Rogers is the best option

It doesn't matter what Fields does this year, we have a better team w Rogers as starter. (period)

It might have been worth overpaying a little for Fields instead of waiting for Rodgers to make up his mind.
