Back in the stick shift days I couldn’t find my car for days

I finally went back to the bar I had been at and there it was

Apparently I had enough sense to not drive home but I’m not sure how I did get home

So I went in and had a beer naturally

if history repeats itself, Steelers will sign Rodgers, and draft 2 QBs this year. The two rookies will win SBs with other teams, and in 2029, steelers will sign kirk cousins or baker mayfield to a one year deal.

On the plus side, Steelers will likely sign Pat Mahomes around 2036.

No one's arguing against that. It's about taking calculated risks. This year the lack of a 2nd round pick makes the idea of using #21 on presumably the QB3 of this class even riskier - their first-rounder this year is more valuable than normal because it's the only shot they have at a talent within the top 82 players.

Expecting the steelers to develop someone like Milroe is not a winning proposition. Name one QB that the Steelers actually developed over the past 20 years.

They couldn’t even get Ben to play up to his ability

Although a lot of that was on Big Dumb

Who here is pining over Rodgers? He is a topic of discussion because the Steelers still have an offer out to him and he would be their starter if he takes it. Some of us are resigned to him being their best option for 2025, but I don't see anyone being excited about that. I have been posting for a while that they should pull the offer, but I'm not going to be pissed if he takes it.

    Yes, wasted opportunity.

Cowher's wife's passing was tragic on it's own, and left a big leadership void in the org.

It's not as if Cowher was able to control him. The motorcycle accident happened while Cowher was the coach. In fact, it was after Cowher told him not to ride it to and from practice.
