I have really tries to have respect for this organization, even in the bad times. This has turned out not only an embarrassment, but the continuing saga just gives the sports talk show guys and guests ammo, and we deserve the satire. On his podcast Cam has already spoken, and if they sign him and he pulls 'look at me' crap, the locker room may be a lost cause.

It’s Aaron effing Rodgers, what’s the chance he doesn’t pull some sort of look at me BS or throw someone under the bus after a loss?

Rodgers has demons… he keeps flushing his colon out to be rid of them demons… so if once wasn’t enough to get rid of demons, what are you doing in the darkness?! IMG_0891.gif

I think the entire board should just not post about Rodgers for an entire day. Do it tomorrow. Seriously, not one post that mentions him or refers to him. Of course, we make an exception if he signs somewhere, but otherwise, just ban all discussion of that arrogant jackass for 24 hours. It would probably do us all some good.

    Steelers Ben succession master plan:

    Ben retires (2022)

    Mitch Trubisky :roflmao:

Steelers can't resist idea of Pitt QB playing for Pittsburgh

Keep bad OC thus dooming any shot of growth

    Sign veteran QB

    Trade Pitt QB

    Get young, mobile QB

Bench mobile young QB @ 4-2 for washed up 36 year old

    Let young QB walk

Bring back Mason Rudolph after getting rid of Mason Rudolph

Embarass themselves waiting on a toxic 41-year-old

This is totally Bags Tomlins rah rah for Rodgers. Mistake. Big mistake.

The delusion is that they are close. Close to what? And they think they are only a QB away :lolol: Its isn't 2011 Rodgers its 2025 Rodgers.

The washed up nut had all his wishes at his disposal with the Jets and failed. He will come to Pittsburgh and fail. Lots of drama if you like that, and Bags Tomlin will look like an idiot for championing for this has been. And Rodgers being the narcissist he is will not take any blame.

He is already under Cam's skin so it would be great if Rodgers starts throwing players under the bus and Cam slapped him upside the head at some point.

Yep, it's going to be fun watching two narcisscists fight over who isn't to blame for the offense, especially as one narcisscist (Tomlin) blames everything on the offense...even though he can't coach defense either...

    :lolol:

I hope we sign him. I think he would certainly make things interesting in what is otherwise shaping up to be a rather blah kind of season. He probably won't make us legit contenders, but at least it will be interesting.

I've heard some theories about us maybe benefiting from someone pushing back on the "standard" here. The standard clearly isn't working here, and hasn't in over a decade. Nobody ever speaks up about it because everyone's best buddies with Big Mike... I mean, at this point, unless you're satisfied with this continued just good enough mediocrity, what's it going to hurt? Any QB we sign is just a bridge to the next QB we draft anyhow. Even the contract for one or two years won't matter much since we have cap space and aren't going to be pressed against the cap again until we have a franchise QB under contract.

I would have a hard time pulling for Rodgers. Sure hope I don't have to.

Only good thing would be the Cowboys fans in my family. They hate Aaron Rodgers with a passion because of all the playoff losses to Packers when Romo was QB. I think Dak got owned by Rodgers, too.

The reason I would Want Rodgers on this team is so he can throw Mike Tomlin under the Bus!!!

Rodgers coming to Pittsburgh would be the end of Mike Tomlin's conservative offensive game plan. At the End of last season Russ folded like a house of card and started playing Tomlin-Ball and the Steelers lost their last 5 games. I have been so disappointed in Arthur Smith for not taking over the offense and still allowing Mike Tomlin to dictate the offensive game plans.
