Winston? I know there are rumours the Steelers are looking at him, but he’s the least Tomlin-like QB possible.

The guy is a turnover machine. There’s absolutely no way the Steelers bring him in.

I know but the thinking probably is Tomlin will apply his safe no risk offense to cut down on turnovers. Helped Fields cut down on Int’s.

I don't get the Vikings draw for Rogers. They already have a QB. Maybe someone can enlighten me why he would even want to go there.

So Steelers Vs Giants. I guess if money is the concern than do the Giants. Pass protection may also be a concern. Either way I get the feeling the Steelers in the end will end up not signing Rogers.

I don’t buy into the Vikings talk. Maybe Rodgers camp is putting that out there to drive up the price.

Weren't you the one saying this wasn't about money for him?

I could see the allure of the Vikings - they're closer to a deep playoff run and have good tools on offense. I don't know if the Vikes would agree to let him start all year or not, which could be a sticking point.

Of course, I'd think the other downside would be the Full Favre comparisons. :lolol:

I feel that should be his position but who knows. If I were in his place having made as much as he has at his age, I would be playing for a championship.

Vikings are closer to a SB then the Steelers but I don’t believe the Vikings are interested in him, not as the starter when they invested a 1st rd pick in JJ, I think they may have even moved up for him.

I saw that. It is time for the Steelers to pull their offer. Screw Rodgers. Make a real offer to Wilson or try to sign Winston to compete with Rudolph and move on. Khan screwed this up big time. The least he can do is walk away with a shred of dignity before Rodgers screws them over anyway.

The report I saw mentioned that there are concerns about McCarthy's recovery. If he's not ready, maybe they go with Rodgers for a year. The Steelers are probably stuck between vastly overpaying or watching him jerk them around for a while before signing with Minnesota. Time to bail and live with the consequences of so badly botching free agency despite having quite a bit of cap room.

The Vikings offer Rodgers a better team. McCarthy's recovery is not going as quickly as they hoped. Maybe they push things back a year.

The Steelers should have spent the money on Darnold or made up their minds sooner on Fields. Their best bet at this point might be to live with another year of Wilson. I don't think they are getting Rodgers. If that happens, Khan could find himself on the hot seat very quickly. He botched things at receiver last season and his handling of the quarterback situation was even worse this year. Not only has he not gotten them a viable starter, but he waited so long on Rodgers that the Steelers missed out on spending the money for help at other positions. There is no way to look at this as anything but an ugly failure.

Vikings have a 2 yr rookie who didn’t play at all last season due to injury. Vikes would be sitting pretty with D bag at qb. He most likely starts too, will let JJ learn
Plus, Vikings have a more competent coaching staff than the Steelers. They are definitely a superbowl team, Steelers can only dream about winning a playoff game

Just go with MR for a season and throw a dart at some QB in later rounds. No more RW, seen enough. Maybe Sanders falls to our range in 1st or close enough to trade up. Not much of college fan and haven't watched him play but spitballin.

Really? Wow… this is Tomlins MO. I can fix him, when in all reality Tomlin probably couldn’t change a lightbulb
I definitely had a good chuckle when people said he would turn Fields career around. HaHaHa! Yeah he went 4-2.. still can’t throw a football.

Gave $40 mil to someone that can’t throw a football so what does that say how they felt about letting D bag go?
Yet we are courting him like he is the queen of the prom in reality he is Carrie

That many awful qbs in league? Got to be kidding me. Didn’t want him last yr, still don’t want him.
Best of luck to the young man. Jets aren’t exactly the team to get things right. Well it will only be his 5? Yr. Give him another 5 yrs… todays athletes take longer to develop

    Threw for 5 tds… wow
Cowboys missing half their defense and he couldn’t hit the side of a barn. Thats Fields, but yeah he can run, oh my he is athletic. Athletic doesn’t make you a franchise qb

Also, don’t ignore the facts that Tomlin didn’t put him in when he got healthy when Russ was burning the food. Fact
